Default Top 5 Best/Worst Mega Man Games - Best Mega Man Game

I'd think this thread is pretty self explanatory, but what the heck. List down your top 5 favorite MM games, and then your top 5 least favorite MM games. I will compile a list at this post, so we can all see what games the Blue Bomber did best in and whatnot. Also, don't include any of the anthologies unless they significantly changed it up (e.g Mega Man The Wily Wars). So I'll start out by listing my favorite/least favorite MM games.

Best Mega Man Games
1 Mega Man 2 (8 votes)
2 Mega Man 9 (6 votes)
2 Mega Man X (5 votes)
3 Mega Man Legends (4 votes)
5 Mega Man (3 votes)
5 Mega Man 3 (3 votes)

Note- Mega Man 9 and Mega Man X tied
Note- Mega Man, Mega Man 3, and Mega Man Legends tied

For everyone who said they only played four or so MM games... Go out and play more (particularly the ones with the most votes)

Need to vote for Least Favorite Mega Man Games- Jogurt
hansolo350
KeeperBvK

My Favorite
5 Mega Man 2 The Power Fighters
4 Mega Man Zero
3 Mega Man X4
2 Mega Man 2
1 Mega Man X

My Least Favorite
5 Mega Man 4
4 Mega Man II
3 Mega Man Starforce
2 Mega Man And Bass
1 Mega Man X6

And that's about it. Feel free to post even if your opinion is as generic as they come (no offence ).

MMX6 the worst Mega Man? Oo
It's a fantastic game and finally one that delivers even more challenge than the average Mega Man game.

I've loved every single Mega Man game so far, except for Mega Man Soccer, so I don't bother creating lists.

My least favorite. I think the challenge was pretty ridiculous, but my real reason for it being my least favorite is because it pretty much ruins the original design plan. And I love every Mega Man game, including Mega Man Soccer, but this is your favorite/least favorite Mega Man games. As in, which ones you like the most.

Everyone seems to love the Mega Man Legends series (forum members, Mega Man fanboys, my RL friends), so that may be good. Also, the MM cart racing game that comes packaged with X Collection.

X5 was great, especially since it was the easiest in the series, and was the first in the series to include an easy mode, and the only one that didn't punish you for using it.

Faves:
1) Megaman Zero 3
2) Megaman 64
3) Megaman 5
4) Megaman Zero
5) Megaman 2

Megaman Zero 2, might get a spot on the list but I've yet to play it.

Least Faves:
1) Megaman 7
2) Megaman
3) Megaman ZX Advent

I could put Megaman 4 on there, but that'd be solely due to me having only played it like twice.

Thanks, I'll be sure to put your inputs into the opening post. Didn't add Keeper, Mickey, and Digiki. BTW, Digiki, can I put MM64 under MMLegends, as it's just a port, after all?

I have once again updated the chartz, so go and check it out if you get a chance.

Best Mega Man Games
1 Mega Man 2 (8 votes)

2 Mega Man 9 (6 votes)
3 Mega Man X (5 votes)
4 Mega Man Legends (4 votes)
5 Mega Man (3 votes)
5 Mega Man 3 (3 votes)

In other news, Mega Man 2 has unsuprisingly soared up the charts as the best Mega Man game, while Mega Man 9 is close behind. Mega Man X is the third best game, and Legend has increased above Mega Man and Mega Man 3 (all three of which are tied for last place), whilst Mega Man and Mega Man 3 are still tied for last place.

The easiest way to get all of these games is to get the Mega Man Anniversary Collection, get Mega Man 9 on Wii Ware, buy the PSX disk of Mega Man Legends/buy the N64 cart of Mega Man Legends/wait till it comes on Virtual Console, and get the Mega Man X Collection on the PS2 or Gamecube/buy the original SNES cart of Mega Man X)/

Well, that was a lot of pointless banter.

How can being easy make a MM game better than others? Mega Man games are supposed to be hard. ^^

It's also the epic conclusion to the X series, and the other games may as well be non cannonical for the sense that they make to the overall plot. I liked X5, anyways.

So he only likes easy games that are good? Wouldn't that make him hate most of the MM games?

Such as Mega Man 2 (super easy! plus included easy mode!), Mega Man X (easy!) and Mega Man 9 (easy when you know the stages!).

Yes, yes, and no(I don't memorize, I react. MM9 never gives me enough time to react).

When you say "easy", are you comparing them to harder Mega Man games or other video games in general? Since I can think of a lot of easier games to play rather than Mega Man...

I hear you, My first games (I ever played in my life) were MMX1 and MM Soccer. My brother loved MM soccer, but I always wanted a sequel with X characters, and a full armor X for my striker! Ultimately, the Megaman Anthology is best taken in bites, starting with the originals, then working through the X series, Zero, so on, and so on. I believe X6 was released as a new challenge for seasoned players who took the time to master the platforming, and I welcome the challenge as something grittier and more mature. Unfortunately, this game ruined the original continuity from the X-series to the Zero series, and it gets quite a lot of crap for that. It's refreshing to see another person with an open mind to this franchise!

No reference to the Zero series is a travesty. You guys need to smarten up.

My picks, I guess, would look like this:

1. MM 2 (yes, 3 is quantifiably better. No, it is not preferred by me)
2. MM Zero 2
3. MM 9
4. MM Zero 4
5. MM 3
