I've been tempted by the GCN thread... but I don't know how much time I'll have for it. I'm crossing my fingers that enig or Tides will change their minds.

Now that I finished the Sony and Wii lists, this one is next. It should take me a few days, though... there's quite a backlog... Ausden.

The main lists are updated, and the SNES chart is actually starting to look pretty respectable.

It seems that the retro collectors around here are mostly into RPGs!

Betagam7, do you have two (2) copies of each of F-Zero and Super Mario Kart?

Yes, one PAL and one NTSC of each.

I see you got Lagoon, now you can join me in telling Ausden what a horrible game it is

More people need to post their classic NES/SNES lists!

This is part of the reason I suspect there's a younger demographic at this site... because even though there are tons of VC owners here, most of the retro-gaming adults should have some of these games in their original cart form.

That's me. Don't own any NES or SNES games sadly. Would be cool to have a NES or SNES. Maybe some day....

Or it could be that older gamers just sold there old consoles and games over the years. I sold quite a few of mine with the intention of replacing them with the VC versions.

Of course, that was back when the VC was getting 5 games a week and it seemed only a matter of time before they showed up. I gave up waiting a long time ago now and instead modded my old yellow SNES so I could just buy the games from ebay and enjoy them in 60hz from any region.

I keep hearing stuff like this, and it surprises me every time that any single person fell for that. I sold my games to pay for college and now I want them back, VC be damned. VC is an entirely different gaming medium in my mind. I also have a hard time believing that any serious old-school gamer would pull the plug on a collection of decent-good games because of some newfangled system's ethereal promises.

Yes, I'm calling you a casual/newb.

But I guess this is the VC forums, so the population's bound to be skewed towards new-school Wii VC folks and the folks who downgraded from their "real" games.

That's it, I'm leaving VC-F! I'm going to go find some Hardcore SNES Collectors' Forum!

Please remove Warlock from my list. I just tried it and while it's better than other LJN games that's not to say all that much so I'm gonna get rid of it.

Edit: And remove Kid Klown in Crazy Chase as well, please.

Well of course I hung on to all the real collectors stuff; Terranigma, Shadowrun etc. The stuff I sold were the games I knew would hit the VC, i.e Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Super Mario 64 etc. I was moving to another country I got good prices for them of course but when I now think of the great condition I kept my own games in then I wonder if I'll ever be able to find one's that look so perfect again.

I would have never sold my SNES collection. I loved it too much. Just like my N64 and Gamecube collections.
But as I told once, my SNES collection was erased from one second to the other the day my brother forgot it in a train.
If you found 2 trunks filled with 80 of the best SNES games in mint condition, consider yourself lucky, that's a whucking expensive gift from me.
I'd make a list of them, but this would bring me down to tears because it would remind me of the biggest waste of all time.

Years later I bought a used SNES and a little collection of about 15 random cartridges without boxes and manuals for 20 EUR: F-Zero, Pilotwings (that explains why I still haven't downloaded them on VC),
Starwing, Super Soccer, Super Game Boy and a few more rather uninteresting games. Too shameful to even mention them and update a list in here because it wouldn't show what my SNES collection used to be.

I gave up on collecting SNES games since I could never find these games in the same condition I used to own them and it would take years.

I had a fantastic mint Game Boy collection too with approx. 80~90 games. But, arr, my mother left almost all of them at her ex-friends house. Wasted. My family never really knew how much value these games are for me. That was more than 10 years ago.

Point is, I'm thankful to get many of my old games on VC, and no-one can grab em because they're bound to my Wii.
And yeah, I know the VC can't make my dreams come true with it's slow updates and it's bad third party and western developers support.
But at least.. yeah better than nothing! Better than fearing to get an ebayed Terranigma in a tattered box or something.
You will just get some damaged C64 games and Rumble-lacking N64 games, that's all.

Not meaning to poke old sores with a salt covered stick but how the hell does anyone "forget" two large suitcases full of games??

Ayyyrrhgghhj!!

Just imagine your brother coming home from his weekend vacation, telling you he just forgot all his baggage in the train.
Yes, you think, poor bro... In longingly anticipation of getting your missed SNES games back you slowly come to realise what he tried to say with his sentence.

And then, suddenly, you will not believe such ultimate epic stupidity and feel such a horrible rush of blood that hurts the psyche, shouting YOU ARE NOT MY BROTHER ANYMORE!!! I HATE YOUUUU!!! YOU ASSHOOOOLE!!!! YOU HAVE SOLD THEM!! YOU THIEF!! STOLEN!! FOR WHAT??? I WANT MY MONEY BACK! I WANT MY GAMES BACK!!!! YOU HURENSOHN!!! YOU DRECKSAU! YOU *******! SCHWEINESCHWANZLUTSCHER! etc. etc.

Well... history.

Incase you guys wondered where I've been the past 3 days, I'm in Ohio with my gf. ^^

Anyhoo, picked up a RetroMini X on my travels and a NES game

+Milon's Secret Castle (I know, it sucks, but it is a "Never released in Europe" game

Did also get Duck Hunt, but it's glitchy, does that game have that problem on a retromini X?

May get another game or 2 before I return.
