My friend was always talking about this, and I did like Red Alert 1, so hopefully this one will be good too.

Great NA only games!! Mostly sports again, but a good collection
a complete N64 Madden series and Ken Griffey Jr.'s Slugfest and NBA Courtside 2, two of the best sports games by Nintendo - never released in EU.

They're actually good games? Oo
Thanks for the praise on my additions, but I highly doubt I'll ever play any of those sports games, I'm afraid. I'll probably play the ISS trilogy, but apart from that those soccer-football-baseball-hockey-basketball games are only going to garner a thick layer of dust. Or maybe I'll try out a Madden and some other stuff for curiosity's sake some day. Who knows? ^^
It's quite surprising for me to see so many Madden games having been released in NA as ww only got two of them.

Iss 98 is probably your best bet, although ISS gold (its sequel) is good it didn't have the same magic for me. Its story mode was just downright bizarre!
ISS64 is worth listening too once to hear the hilariously jumpy commentary.

Pity those two WCW wrestling games are the crappy EA games and not the sublime AKI ones...but you probably have them already.

Haha, dun worry, I didn't go out of my way now looking for an ISS Gold anywhere. ^^
I've already played ISS 64 A LOT in 1997 by the way, that's why I'm highly considering playing the other ones too at some point.
And I think I've already got all Western published wrestling games.

yeah, I liked 64 when it came out but it has obvious flaws in commentary and other areas.

Iss 98 is an improvement in every area with a real professional commentator and much better gameplay and fine detail.

"Gold" despite its story mode wasn't as much of an improvement although iirc it used the expansion pak for something.

Seriously: I've often used the term "it's not a bug, it's a feature" to mock on games, but in this case I'd even be serious when saying it. The commentary wasn't as much ear-bleeding as it was hilarious. ^^

We used to joke that the Commentators name was Glorious Footballweather as he always began by saying "Welcome to this game, this is glorious football weather" as if he was introducing himself.
I think this must have been his only acting gig so when he recorded the team names he went through his full range of emotions.
So you get sorrowful Wales, angry Brazil and excited England among others

Hahaha, I love the part about the weather. ^^
And yeah:

That's exactly what I was thinking all those years. The recording of the team names sure is a sight to behold and I feel like that makes the game only the more memorable. ^^

If you like WWF No Mercy you might like to check out a Japanese wrestling game that the engine for that game was also used for: Virtual Pro Wrestling 2.
The text is Kanji but the menus are laid out similar to the Western games so you should be able to go from memory. The game has several interesting modes that arn't in No Mercy such as a Mixed Martial Arts mode.

Some info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Pro_Wrestling_2

New games:
+ California Speed
+ Rugrats - The Great Treasure Hunt

@ marktheshark:
Too bad most interesting JP games are rather expensive. ^^ You could keep your eyes open for Bomberman 64 (totally different game from our Bomberman 64 which was called Baku Bomberman in Japan), Doubutsu no Mori (Animal Crossing) and Bangai-Oh.

There were 4 Bomberman games on the N64!

1. Baku Bomberman (Bomberman 64)

2. Baku Bomberman 2 (Bomberman 64: The Second Attack!)

3. Bomberman Hero

4. Bomberman 64 (JP only)

Thread updated!

624 games. At long last, the first update is here and the total is 624 games. That is a lot of cartridges! More surprising than the number of games has got to be what game people own the most of, which is Pokémon Stadium! I have to say I wasn't expecting it myself but maybe you guys knew better than me. Anyways, please check the lists and tell me if you spot any mistakes. Thank you for being patient everyone for the long wait of this update and for posting your games!

Wow, that is surprising. I was expecting Goldeneye as that was pretty much the king of the N64 games (And OOT), but Stadium? Wow.

Paper Mario

Conker's Bad Fur Day
Yoshi's Story
South Park Rally

...I think that's it.

I've probably found a mistake that made Pokemon Stadium came out on top: You've probably listed me as owning three copies, which isn't true. I've got one copy of our western Pokémon Stadium and two of the Japanese original which is in fact a prequel to our first entry of the series. Our Pokémon Stadium is Japan's Pokémon Stadium 2.
The first Japanese PS only features about 70 pokémon.

For anything marked as Japanese, I made it a separate entry. You can see it on the chart with a (JAPANESE) after it's name.

I had searched for that prior to my post, but didn't find it, because it's listed as Pocket Monsters Stadium. My bad. ^^

Wetrix is cool! Played it a long time. Not many modes, but very addicting, simple and fun main game! And it gets challenging and pretty fast.

Next to Tetrisphere, it's a second unique puzzle jewel in the N64's game library.

Gameplay: 9/10
Audiovisuals: 9/10.
Game: 9/10

There is a secret credits button cheat one of the developers told me back in 1999 but I forgot how it worked.

WiiWare version anyone? I want one.

I think it was a comment I remember reading from you that prompted me to pick it up. I just occasionally browse the old N64 games and if I see one that's not a typical fightan/shootan/racin'/sprotz kinda game, I'll snag it. Not bad for $8.
