All of the EB Games stores around me just moved their N64 stock into big bins at the front of the store to try to clear them out. At the same time, used PS2 games are getting price drops left right and centre. Must be scaling the last-gen back a bit.

man they must have big stocks over there.
our gamestops have thrown out all N64 games for €10 years ago just after the gamecube arrived.

I doubt it's because they had big stocks. It's more likely because they still accepted N64 games as trade-ins until recently. I was happy to pick up Banjo and Mischief Makers because the former cost me $9 and the latter $10—cheaper than they would be on the VC!

I saw a cart-only copy for $9 earlier in the week but didn't get it. So it must be karma. I only picked it up because of hearing you praise it up and down.

You won't be disappointed because you now have
a stylish and truly unique game with an amazing soundtrack.

Listen to my favourites
- Azule Lux
- Compliant Confused
- Faze
- Hallucid

I've stolen that cool name for my email adress ([email protected]) which is in use 12 years now
This track has also made me want that game so badly when I saw it on a video advertising. It's HARTKORE-ACID!!

- Phony
- Manicdrummix
- and of course the title track 'Prophetic'
- oh well, all tracks are good. And don't forget to look out for the G(ALIENHEAD)MEBOY code!!

DONT FORGET YUR HEADPHONES! I'M SCREAMING BECAUSE I LISTEN TO THE SOUNDTRACK AT MAX VOLUME ON YOUTUBE!!!!!!

The first update will most likely not be out until June looking at how often my weekends are stolen from me (which is when I usually work on these charts). But looking at what I have done so far, I'm guessing a "rare" game will be out on top. A bit of a surprise really, considering it's usually Nintendo games that are on top.

Tetrisphere truly is an amazing game as long as you don't expect to get a Tetris game.

Actually Tides, when you've got the first update up (so I know you've got my games logged), I'll delete my post in the second position. That'll make the individual lists the second post.

The rental version just has a sticker on the box saying "Offizielle Verleihversion by Acclaim" which is a great mix of English and German. ^^
It means "official rental version" by the way.

I didn't even know that existed, but I happened to accidentally buy two copies on ebay within two days and realized that they differed a bit. Lucky me. ^^

Yeah and it's worth more than just a game with an alternate box-cover.
If you find it, be sure to check that the soundtrack cd it comes with is inside.

Keeper, When will your N64 game museum officially open to the public? and do VC-forums regulars get a discount on entrance fees?

Haha, a potential museum opening would still have to wait quite some time as I'm still missing a whole bunch of games. Fortunately I'm currently waiting for a delivery from the States containing 18 games, most of them being sports games, though...4 different Maddens for example. xD

@ SKTTR: I doubt anybody would want to play ALL these games, especially considering the vast amount of sports games.

I wouldn't mind amassing a Dreamcast collection similar to your N64 one. The DC is still the system I own the most games for but at the moment all my DC stuff is back in England with my N64 stuff as I only had room for a few consoles in the crates so was asked to choose by my other half. The Wii and 360 came over...and the Saturn...oh and the Snes obviously...the 3 gameboys, DS and Neo Geo Pocket fit in the hand-luggage. What's that dear...where did that Virtual Boy come from? It must have been here when we got here. hehehe. (I'm going to sneak the rest over on another trip!).

On a serious note though, where do you store all that N64 stuff, do you have your own N64 room or something?

You own enough other games.
I wouldn't mind some 4-player splitscreen co-op Hexen.
Or trying some sequels of good games I never got the chance to play before: Rush 2049 for example.
And most of the Japanese stuff.

@ Betaggam7: Isn't that like being forced to pick one child over the other?
I have all of my games stored on various shelves in a single room along with my "normal" stuff. It's getting crammed here by now, though, so that's why I'm trying to collect more and more NA and Japanese games as they often take less space. Dreamcast, PSX, Famicom, SFC, GB, GBC, GBA, DS, Gamecube...quite a lot of systems in fact.
Only Japanese N64 game boxes are larger then their Western counterparts.

@ SKTTR: I currently don't really have any time to play more than a couple of minutes every few days, but maybe during the next holidays we could see 'bout that.

That's quite astonishing. I hate the cardboard boxes of early Nintendo consoles as they're so easily damaged. I really liked the GC Japanese boxes though as they were so small and even easier to store than the DVD cases we got in the West.
