Planning on building a house out of 'em?
Or paving the drive in front of your garage like a guy once did with his Super Mario Bros cartridges?

What, the Yugioh/other crappy games? Actually, I intend to make jewelery with them. I've already experimented with some of the cartridges (mostly sports games, like Madden 96), but all the Yugioh games have batteries. I need a soldering iron/desoldering pump if I want to remove those without screwing up the PCB.

How much did you pay for all the carts anyway?

...sorry, I simply had to do it. ^^
Nah, I can't provide a link unfortunately, as I saw it in an issue of Nintendo Power several years ago. Back when information was not solely provided virtually.

For the last two batches of games? Just under $140, averaging a little under $1 per game (after tax).

Yup. With an edge card, GB & GBC games are 85% off (in the US).

Oops, sorry, that's their "loyalty discount" program thing. It saves you 10% off used games. For some reason, on the GB/GBC games the 10% is taken off of the original price, that you're already getting 75% off of (for a total discount of 85%). You pay $15 for an Edge card...but for me, it's totally worth it. I've saved $40 already this year (receipts keep a tally).

Plus you get Game Informer magazine for a year. If you get GI already, it's basically getting the subscription plus the card for free.

Sounds like a sweet deal.
What was the clerk's reaction like when you grabbed all the GBC games at once?

At the last store, the one I went to just a few days ago, I'd called ahead of time, so they knew I was coming. There were just two guys working the registers, and one had to go into The Back Room to get their box full of GB & GBC games. (Apparently, they'd been shipped this box after managing to successfully sell all the ones they'd originally had in stock. I wonder how many they'll get shipped now?)

So he passed this box to his coworker, who plopped the box on the counter in front of me and supervised me while I sorted around through it (as per a rather sensible store policy). We chatted and laughed, but customers started giving him the evil eye (obviously he was having far too much fun--not to mention not doing enough helping them--to be doing real work). So he moved the box & my stack of "keepers", and I moved over to the register and he started (slowly) ringing me up to make it more obvious to people that--yes--he really was doing work. Such a difference 2 feet makes to unimaginative people!

Afterwards, we had to wait a few minutes for the computer to finish tallying the total and taking off the discount. Then I paid, and then I left with my goodies. Twee!

At the first store, it was a little less exciting. The conversation went a bit more like this:
Me: "Hey, how much do these games cost?"
Clerk: "I can check for you. Which ones?"
Me: "Well, uh, all of them."
Clerk: "Uh, well, that's a little harder."
Me: "Yeah, I thought it might be."
Clerk: "Why don't I just ring them all up and we can find out that way?"
Me: "Okay."
Clerk: "$70."
Me: "Hm. I can do that."
Clerk: "Hahaha, you want them all?"

Are you going to play any of them or are they all going to die for your art?

I'll be playing some of them. I've already dissected most of the sports games, which will keep me more than busy enough for months (years, likely, considering the rate at which I make/sell stuff).

Sure! I keep a gallery at http://pdrydia.deviantart.com/gallery/ . The only two VG-related pieces I have up in my gallery right now are PCB (printed circuit board) jewelery, one from a Gamecube and one from a GBA. They're pretty simple (PCB on some string/chain) and that looks fine when wearing it, but I also want to try some more complicated designs (as I did with my first PCB piece, which is mostly watch but also all sorts of other stuff). I had a pretty neat design with my first Game Boy PCB, but a part of it it came undone when I went to scan it (I need to work on that again...but I owe my aunt a couple bracelets, first ).

Got it at a Flea Market while I was at camp. It's not as good as I remembered it, but I guess I still need to get used to it.

Updated.

Also I haven't posted any Statistics lately, since I can't think of any good ones. Thus I have some lame Top 10 listings for now on the front page.
