I will probably buy this when i go back to england at the end of the month. I love retro games so id love a mag completly focusing on them. I get the Games TM Multiformat mag and i always enjoy the retro section. So i will most likely get this when i go back.

Cool mag. I had many of those games.

Spy Hunter, which was basically a destruction derby game.

But there was a much better, but lesser known one before that:
Burnin' Rubber and its sequel Bumpin' Buggies

http://www.64er.de/phpseiten/spieled...?filnummer=818

Green Beret was a banned game in Germany, so everyone in Germany had a copy of it. It was a great action game at that time, Contra-like. No wonder, it's a Konami game from 1985.

James Pond (SNES) is just the generic boring platformer, even when it was new. I played one of its games on the SNES: Operation Starfi5h. I think it was the worst game in the series, but the other Pond games are not much better either. You can beat the whole James Pond 2 (MD) in 1 minute and 8 seconds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sKI3o535s0 and Starfi5h was unbeatable. Let me just forget this thing existed. 1 Star(s)

The articles about Doom, Populous, Rescue on Fractalus, the run & guns and the Master System would be interesting. Scan it

You write for them? Cool.

Bought issue 1 and the disc never worked even though we had the right specs, so we just gave up buying it

Shame, that first issue had some right crackers on it

I used to read Retro Gamer regularly back when it was with Live Publishing, I have every issue of the original magazine (including issue 1, which is quite rare I believe). Then with the new publisher I started to get tired of it, I think it was nothing against the magazine but I got tired of reading games magazines in general so I stopped buying it. But I think I might pick this issue up seeing what's in it, you have successfully tempted me.
