I guess this is the right forum.
So, I'm having trouble in RE4. I am currently in the castle, after the part where Ashley gets stolen by the giant mutant bugs, and after the clocktower, when you get into the next building. I can't seem to kill those two large wolverine type of things, can somebody tell me a strategy to kill them because I am seriously getting frustrated. |

Try to get them to charge at you and get their claws stuck in the wall. Then blast the parasite on their backs with a high powered weapon. Magnum's work great, if you don't have one then use the Shotgun.

dont go up the first set of steps as this will trigger a lot more monks and make life more complicated.
walk don't run (unless you HAVE to to avoid a charge) go stand by a wall and take a pot shot with a pistol. walk to the other side as numpty 1 and numpty 2 charge into the wall. use a riffle, mine thrower or whatever you have that packs a whallop and shoot the parasite on there back. walk to the other side as they charge you again. once you kill one staying out the way becomes much easier.

Also for future reference...there are two bells on the right side of the wall (i think theres two but theres at least one). Shoot the bell and they will go straight for it and get their claws stuck. You can only do this once per bell but it helps to get some free shots in before you really have to worry about them. And like it was said before do not go up the steps until you have killed them. Its also possible to only attract one at a time but it seems like its pretty hard to do.

Nice! You must either be really lucky or I'm just unlucky because I was able to pull it off on my first play through but since then I have had no luck. Oh well they aren't too tough once you understand what they are all about anyway. Is this your first taste of RE4? If so feel free to come back and tell us what you think about it as its one of the best games available period.

Yeah, it is. I didn't own a gamecube, and I hardly got any games for my ps2, so this is my first play through Resident Evil 4. I had always heard good things about it so when it came to the Wii I decided to pick it up.

And I don't say that about many games.

I'm playing through it for a second time now, before I get started on Separate Ways and unlock the special costumes. Great game.
