Default Remember Soul Blazer?

Oh man, Soul Blazer has to be one of my favorite Enix games of all time. I rank it up there with Illusion of Gaia for sure. Soul Blazer was so overlooked, but it was such a fun game.

It was very linear, but the power-ups and magic were all awesome and the boss battles were all epic. Not to mention the Soundtrack was pretty good for its time.

Thoughts? Comments? Anyone else own this gem?

I've heard of it and hope to play it right when it appears on the Virtual Console.

Soul Blazer, like Actraiser is one of the Square-Enix games I can see getting a VC release because it is relatively obsure and wouldn't warrant a GBA or DS port. It's a great game and I played the Hell out of it as a kid. Hopefully SE will release it along with Illusion of Gaia and Secret of Evermore.

If SoulBlazer can get a release, then surely Illusion of Time and Terranigma would follow?

I never played Terranigma. That would be cool to see on the VC just so I can try it out.

Probably because Terranigma was never released in the States. Shame really because it's a beautiful game.

It's one of the rare cases when Europe got the game, and the US didn't! Goes some way to make up for Earthbound and Chrono Trigger.

That's a pretty good reason why I never played it then. Hopefully it will get a VC release some day, I'd like to check it out.

Have to agree. Soul Blazer is a gem.

Can't say I agree with Illusion of Gaia. That game a huge marketing push behind it back in the day. To me, that just added to the disappointment.

But man, Soul Blazer. Gotta pop that one back in.

GG.

Soul Blazer trilogy are my most wanted games on VC. I hope at least one comes within this year.
