Post Ranks?

Some forum users have suggested we add post ranks to the forums.

For those who don't know, a post rank is a title that appears next to your name, based on how many posts you have made.

I'd like to know:

Firstly - if other people think this should be done?
Secondly - what these post rank titles should be?

These are the first my mind thought about, they're not sorted and I think A LOT of names like these may be pulled off.

Negative sides:-
gives insentive for people to just go ahead and post for the hell of it but hey... (im sure their is some net term for it)


Morale sides:-
Sometimes people will listen more to people with higher ranks
which can either be a good thing or a bad thing if you know what i mean.

Positive sides:-
you can tell the new people from the people who have supported the site for ages..

Yes, any and all spammers on this forum will have their house sieged by an army of Nintendo robots throwing Wii robots. In addition, their posts may be deleted and their forum access may be suspended or banned.

I like post ranks. It's just a nice little incentive, nothing too serious. Also, it's good to see staff are taking spammers seriously Ooooh that reminds me, are you going to put a Forum Rules thread up?

I'm living in hope that a strict rules post will not be necessary immediately. Basically, the rules are the same as most forums, with one of most important being no flame wars or insulting behaviour, and obviously nothing illegal or inappropriate being posted.

If there are too many offenders or I deem it necessary, I will post a forum rules thread clarifying the rules exactly.

Although the idea behind post ranks is cool, I vote against the idea. I haven't been to a single forum where it hasn't been abused. It usually gets to a point where people compete just for the sake of it, which in turn leads to a lot of great people leaving in protest.
