Few questions.

1. Does this have the same voices from the original (The 4Kids Voices) or does in have the new voices (Pokemon USA voices, from Season 9 onwards)? Dunno why, just feels like something Nintendo would do (Since Pokemon USA is a part of Nintendo anyways.)

2. BLOCK SIZE! (Well, with Ranch and SSBB coming, my blocks are gonna be eaten...)

I don't see why it would have new voices. That would involve changing the game, which they don't normally do for VC games. Especially when it could involve redoing all of the VA work (potentially expensive).

Incase it puts off the newbie fans, or the newbies say "Hey, these voices are better! I demand they bring them back!" and add fuel to the SOVAS thing (Thats Save Our Voice ActorS, a group of fans that want the original 4Kids voices back). Then again, it could anger the fans of the past if they did.

I know they didnt do it for Snap, but that had only 2 voices, 1 character whos never returned since Season 4 and Oak, who sounds simlar to how he sounds now anyway...

Just downloaded this tonight.

1. It has the old voices. I love Pikachu!
2. It's about 255 blocks!!!

I'm finding this game pretty hard! I'm not used to this kind of puzzler I guess. I'm still not used to looking for combos or anything like that. I just spend most of my time frantically trying to stay away from the top of the screen, even on easy. I should find some friends of a similar skill level to play with.

I don't mind the Pokémon licence, either. The constant "pika" noises aren't too bad, since Pikachu is awesome. Anyway, they even give you an option to switch between the Pokémon themed blocks and the "classic" blocks.

I can see myself getting some use out of this as I gradually get better, unless Dr. Mario totally monopolizes my puzzling time when it comes out.

At least I didn't make a block size / puzzle block joke.

Anyway, I've played through Marathon mode a few times now. On easy, I keep getting killed around speed level 30 (starting at level 1). I'm going to try out the multi-player this weekend.

I like puzzle games but don't care for pokemon. Would this still be worth purchasing?

It depends if you just don't care for pokémon or if you hate pokémon. The pokémon theme only acts as a skin to the real/main game, which is the puzzler. In other words, the only role the p-mans have is making noise when you do a good combo, and standing off to the side of the screen to look pretty.

I absolutely love Panel de Pon (What this game is with a Pokemon Paint job), but if it is going to take up 255 blocks of space, not to mention I don't much care for the Pokemon theme, I think this will be a pass for me to download. That's too much space eaten up on one game. I guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that they'll eventually release the SNES version, titled "Tetris Attack" with Yoshi's Island characters instead. Now that one I'd download in an instant.
