Default What platform of Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga should I buy?

You know me, I ask stupid questions and today is no exception.

What should I buy the Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga on?
Wii or PS3.

I'm leaning to PS3 because I can just sit, relax and have awsome graphics and wile play Lego Star Wars,
plus I've got four PS3 controllers, one six-axis controller and three wired ps2 controllers.

The Wii version is one of a kind with the Wii remote but I've only got one Wii remote and nunchuck plus I'll have to wave my arms around with the Wii remote, but thats OK. I've got two GameCube controllers and one Classic Controller but I don't know if I use them to play I'll have to look it up.

You don't have to wave your arms around to use the Wii version of the game. The Wii controls are just like a standard controller. The only 'Wii' alternate options are the waggle for the Lightsabers and you xan still use the B button to attack with them just like a Lazer/Fist (as I did, much more control).

All character movement is still donewith the Analog Joystick and all Force powers, commands, etc are all on a button layout. The game is a testament for good third party Wii ports. And is their really a graphical difference from the Wii to the PS3 seeing as it was originally a PS2 game?

Yes because the new versions of Lego Star Wars have been upgraded with better shadow effects, sound and resolution.
The PS3 has better shadow effects, sound and resolution than the Wii.

Well you did not answer my question, witch one do you think I should get?

I'd get it for the PS3 if I were you. Even though one of the only differences is the graphics, it looks really good on HD on the PS3. Furthermore, you can play online co-op on the PS3 & 360 versions, which you can't do on the Wii.

Also I hear the Wii waggle controls add next to nothing to the game.

Thank you for your answer Shortay, I do agree with You. I will most likey buy the PS3 version now I now co-op is only on PS3 and Xbox 360.
I have been told the Wii version has some sort of power attack that you can only use on the Wii but I'm not sure thats true.

Don't forget to vote!

Well, I never tell people what they should get. I'm not that kind of guy. I'm just reporting what the game is like on the Wii Version having the game myself. You can make the decision. Perhaps the PS3 version has better features, I donno.

You can take what I gave you and then look up the features of the game for both and decide. But on the Wi version of the game, while you use the Wiimote and Nunchuck, its essentially just like using a split controller and you are using a total button interface with analog movement. There's no waggle (unless you want to flick your wrist at times for Lightsaber attacks) or Pointing at the screen or having to stand up and play or anything.

I don't know about the difference in graphics though. I personally didn't put that into account knowing the original games came from the PS2/XBOX and assumed they were direct ports.

OK thanks for explaining.
