Although I'm a fan of racing games I won't buy this one, racing games are the genre that really have benefited in later years because of the stronger machines that run them. But I certainly think that this could be fun if you played it in the past.

The one question I would have - did they reprogram the controls? On the original C64 game you have to hold forward on the stick to accelarate, and as soon as you let go you slow down (leading to aching arms). Unless they've mapped it to a button, I could see this being awkward on the Wiimote...

Oh, that might be a major controller issue then, I thought that the car automatically accelerated and that it brakes when pushing the button. It's like that on some of the Java racing games available for cellphones which I think is a rather good way of simplifying the controls a bit.
