Default Doujin fighters

While getting over the double whammy of little or no access to the internet (and thus the VC) and the shortage of stellar titles on the Wii over the past 9 months, I've been playing a lot of PC doujin fighting games.

Purchased Big Bang Beat, Akatsuki Blitzkampf, Melty Blood Act Cadenza and MONSTER off Himeyshop and Paletweb, and have been getting more and more hooked since.

Anyone here into them? If you don't know what I'm talking about, look up videos of the aforementioned games on youtube.

For the fighting game fans out there, the PC, amazingly, is beginning to look like the holy grail, with the dearth of titles on other platforms seemingly wholly compensated for by the willingness of a few Japanese guys without girlfriends to code commercial-quality games in their bedrooms fuelled, no doubt, by industrial-sized cans of Red Bull.

Good for them, I say.

Nah, there are loads of great fighters being released on current gen consoles. I'll name them....now.

Battle Fantasia
BlazBlue Calamity Trigger
Dead Or Alive 4
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +
The King Of Fighters XII
Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe
Senke No Ronde
Soul Calibur IV
Street Fighter IV
Tatsunoko VS Capcom
Tekken 6
Virtua Fighter 5

And this is counting handheld games...or ports. And they're all avalaible in the US. There are definetely a lot of fighters on current gen consoles, and for the most part, they're all top notch. I feel that fighters belong on consoles and arcades, and playing a fighter on the PC is a subpar expirience IMO (nothing against the doujin fighters).

They've also been released on the PC? I've only seen them in arcades so far.

Senke No Ronde
1.: It's Senko no Ronde
2.: I wouldn't exactly call it a fighting game as it's more of a shooter
3.: It's far from being great. ^^
