It is a wise practice by every user to read eventual notes in the programs' directories and not to blindly install everything downloaded from the internet. What do you mean? Yes, there are games for *nix systems also listed here for instance and some of the games are available for a wide range of systems. The flash games are platform independent, and if we find some Java games those would be as well. But basically these are all computer games.

| Do you like my helmet? | As far as I know there are no legit free games for those systems except 1. junk that is bundled with the DSi systems, 2. free stuff for PS+ users and a possible XBLA equivalent service, 3. time-limited promos and giveaways (rare), and 4. browser games. All of which I assume don't fall under the mandate of this thread. |

| Mega mole | The New Satan Sam - Neat, but tough little acrobatic platformer. I Wanna Be The Guy - A game that rides the line of impossible, lots of retro humor. Masochistic platformer. |

Action Fist! is one of the the better freeware run 'n' gun games out there. It has a unique power up system that is redolent of Silhouette Mirage, but not as prominent. It also has some nice platforming elements including a wall jump, and it's even coop! | |

| Wow, Wild Metal is a available for free from Rockstar. I used to love that on my DC (forcing it into 60hz with the DC-X). I'll definately be grabbing that in the near future. Currently the only free game I have is: Passage - a beautiful indy metaphor for life by Jason "Sleep is Death" Rohrer

| http://www.kongregate.com/games/nerdook/monster-slayers I just stumbled over this little flash-game. It's pretty much Patapon without the rhythm element. |
