Norton isnt that bad with its latest release 2009, my com works 50% faster than with the old Nortons, btw Bitdefender is as strong as Norton and works even faster with other apps like gaming. The days of heavy antivirus/ IS are shortly getting to their end.
As for web root and trend micro I dont know a lot of but I can can assume you, I never had problems with the last 3 years editions of Norton (allthough 2007 and maybe sometimes 2008 worked a bit heavy, I can agree with) As for Bitdefender well no words but. . excellent (for gamers it has an in built gamer protection mode and is made for minimum interruptions) ! Btw you can get all this software for ony 20 bucks a year if you search well. (I talk about Internet security not just antivirus)

Another thing, I read that Webroot isnt very different from other big Anv/IS programs, so whats the point ?
By the way I see that you use 2 different kind of software seperate from each other, I also did this in the past (as long as it are not 2 of the same type of programs) But then again I prefer to a 1 pack of antivirus and security (Internet Security) It worked better for me than getting those seperately from different brands to be honest with you. Before I got those Internet Sec. programms I sometimes had some minor issues that I got rid off when I got a full package.
I use Norton on my Laptop and Bitdefender on my PC (yes I know why not use the same program on the other one, because mostly its for 3 users) This because I wanted to try Bitdefender, they say a lot of good things about it, and to be honest they are right about it, its a very good program allthough Norton isnt that bad either this year.

Here is a top 10 list from a site of reviews for IS programs (yes you dont have to believe what they all say) but they dont lie about the Bitdefender part, thats one thing for sure.

Please read my previous post again. I said I used to use both of them. But since Webroot added virus protection to its main service, I stopped using Trend Micro. And since I seem to need to spell everything out or people will rant about how I'm doing things wrong, I am only using a single protection program now. Webroot AntiVirus with AntiSpyware. And I havent had a problem since.

And you're missing the "/" in the end "[ /quote]", by the way.

Because Portal was the only game on it that I enjoyed, and I could've just saved my money and gotten Portal: Still Alive on XBLA instead, without having a bunch of games I'll never play(and will forever feel guilty about not finishing) added to the mix.

What did you find bad about HL2 and its Episode games then? Portal was awesome but the entire Orange Box is a great game package. Oh yeah, don't buy Portal (or any Orange Box game for that matter) on the 360, while you're trying to turn around 180º I've already completed the game twice

I don't own that many PC games, I think. I'll try to remember all or at least most of them.

Bandits: Phoenix Rising
Neverwinter Nights 2 (Barely played)
Fallout 3 (Just in the beginning)
Mageslayer (Top-down hack'n'slash fantasy game.)
Shadowcaster
Assassin's Creed.

I'll add more when I remember. Most of them are at my parents house.

If I had it in my PC I also would only use it for games such as Supreme Commander, Total War series etc.

Just Pre-purchased Left 4 Dead 2 from steam.

I did have the retail version down for Pre-order, but I canceled it when Gamestation couldnt guarantee I would get it on launch day.

Roll on 18th of November!

I completely forgot about this thread...

+ Age of Empires: Collector's Edition - Limited Edition($9.99)

I'll try to get ahold of Age of Mythology next, and possibly Supreme Commander, now that I know that my computer can (barely) run it. I'll also try and get Command & Conquer: First Decade, although that'll probably be a Christmas present, unless I can help it.

For some reason I thought I replied to this already...

Half-Life 2 was okay at first, but then I got to Ravenholm, which was horrible enough that I never wanted to play the game ever again. I haven't even touched the other episodes, and I don't I don't ever intend on doing so. And I already played Portal on XBLA, and the controls worked just fine - better, in fact, because I find turning and making precise movements much easier with the analogue stick. More often than not I'll usually end up getting myself killed trying to fiddle with the mouse. Now I just need to wait for Still Alive to go on sale(if I can wait that long), and then I can uninstall the Orange Box completely.

I'm trying to find three other people who I can pool some money with so we can buy the four-pack. We'll save $11 (along with the $5 for pre-ordering) each. If I can't get enough people, I'll just wait until the holiday sale.
