Question Paper Mario - why not?

I am thinking about getting Paper Mario and I want to know if anyone can tell me what you do in the game. It will be my first RPG-like game and I want to know how the game works. I hear it is really fun, but why is that? What makes it so fun? Sorry I am so lame but I missed this game the first time around! I was too busy playing Mario 64 and Zelda OoT.

Its a great game. One i discovered on the VC too. Its an RPG but not as you think. It is all on a 2D plane in a 3D way, kinda hard to explain. It has a good story and will keep you hooked and is well worth 1000 points, prob the best N64 game on the VC. Why is its fun...

Well because it has mario in it =D and he is made of paper

The gameplay works in a RPG style however with the fact you have turn based attacks and party members.

Demon212's video reviews are very informative on pretty much every vc game.

Here's his Paper Mario one: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ofP_ihvADiA

Thanks I will check it out!

I still would kind of like someone to tell me their personal opinion. What made it fun for you?

What I think makes it fun, other than the story, is how the fights are turn-based but you don't just say attack and then you attack but instead you need to time your attack so that you do more damage.

I rate it as the second of the good N64 games on the VC. I bought it mainly for the RPG aspects, and was quite surprised at how good it was (It also took me a while to get over the "Mario in an RPG" thing) I played it for quite a bit, until my first Wii died taking it with it.

I'm thinking about rebuying it tomorrow, with the 1600 points I have left

I wouldnt have bought Super Paper Mario if I hadnt of gotten this one

It's a great game. It'll provide many hours of entertainment and prove it's worth in no time. Great value.

I liked PM's cutesy graphics, funny story and great RPG engine. I would've already downloaded, 'cept I still have it on cart.
