Nice list but you're missing this months gaming club pick Ninja Spirit by IREM.

Speaking of Irem, the C64 port of Mr Heli looks nice and reminds me of Blood Money.
I've always wanted a Mr Heli game after playing as him in R-Type Final for PS2. I hope Irem can release the TG version or C64 version soon.

I also remember having some fun with Kung Fu Master and punching that guy's head off repeadedly, years before Mortal Kombat 2 would let me do such a thing

There's heaps of stuff missing on the list.

I just haven't found a good video of C64's Ninja Spirit.

I will update the list with some more C64 gameplay videos today.

Woah, Castlevania made it to the C64? I never knew that.

Slamander also looks great. Way better than the C64 port of Gradius (Nemesis)

Donkey Kong also looks a lot better than the NES version the VC has been lumbered with.

Enjoyed seeing Mario Bros again, even though I used to play it desperately hoping the nesxt level would be like the one I played in Boots (SMB on NES).

Might be a bit off-topic but the Comic Bakery loader tune is too awesome to not be listen at, do that now.

the Castlevania game looks pretty good. I didn't realize it made it to the C64 either. I like how you can duck and use an item at the same time....something which is, of course, impossble on the NES version...

I've discovered that there were two conversions of the original Street Fighter on C64. The clip you link too shows a "USA" version.

However there is also this:

The USA version has much cleaner graphics but this one arguably has better music. This is the UK version apparently, ironically by US gold (which if I recall was really just an offshoot of Gremlin).

Man, that UK version looks horrible. I owned the US version which was much better. And the music of the US version was good enough.
The worst music was in Street Fighter II. This was really bad.
Anyway, added this one to the games up there, thanks.

US GOLD were famous for their horrible ports. They did the Amiga port where, legend has it, the developers were told to go play the game in the arcade and try to copy it with no help or source code from Capcom.

Also they used to play the US National anthem on the loading screen

Most arcade conversions back then worked like that, with usually little source material supplied by the arcade company. So sometimes it was hit or miss whether the programming team captured the essence of the game or not in the translation.
