Default Last Ninja 3 fixed?

This just in (and not altogether convincing)

Thank you for your email.

If there was an issue with the game we would have solved it, the game itself is safe to download and we hope you have many hours of fun with it.

Best regards,

Sam Malcherczyk

Personally I would only believe this coming from Commodore themselves. Who here has downloaded the game already?

Unfortunately commodore have gone very quiet. They used to reply to emails but now they never do.
This guy doesnt sound very convincing to me at all, its like he's saying "I've never heard of that but I'm sure we would have fixed it by now".
I've sent him a reply asking for a guarantee of a refund of my wii points if I buy the game and find he's incorrect.
Also there are comments on Nintendolifes review from as early as this month complaining that the game doesn't work.

EDIT: Further update

Thank you for your email.

No, we can not provide any refunds for any Virtual Console titles. However, we can assure you that regardless of any information available on third-party sources, such as forums, we have not received any notification of any issues with this Virtual Console game.
If you were to encounter any problems, we would be happy to investigate the matter further for you, but we will not guarantee that you would be provided with a refund until we are able to investigate any potential issues fully.
Kind regards,
Jackson Davies

I am actually surprised NoE actually sent a reply back to you. I highly doubt this game is fixed though, since Nintendo Service Centre aren’t exactly what I call trustworthy.

It really sounds like they insist to their point about Last Ninja 3 fully working on the Virtual Console.

But what can I say? I have to download it to find out but I don't want to end
up with another broken product. I already have one. Nintendo's help service
told me, Family&Friends Party was tested in-house and they haven't
encountered any bugs with their Miis.

Sure, the freezing is gone with the
last "new version" patch but the problem with the Miis still stands and
playing with Miis was the only reason why I downloaded this game. But
they didn't found the problem.

Why does that email have a contradiction in it? We are unable to provide refunds for VC games, BUT then they say they can't guarantee a refund without investigating thoroughly?? Well, which is it? Only pending an investigation or totally unable to give one?

No refunds. Just a wasted 1000 points
because the game is not fun if your family and friends aren't able to select
their characters for that party.

You have to delete most of the old Miis, and make new ones so the game
recognizes them (of course you are erasing all your friends and family Mii
stats too) - so this one solution is a bad solution! A solution I got from the
developers!!

It's hilarious.

and PS: another thing is hilarious. i'm serious. this was one post i had to divide into 5 or 6 parts to overcome internal server errors. man, what is that??

I don't understand why they havn't already "investigated it fully", are the people who shelled out for the game and complained on here that it didn't work so lazy that they havn't even bothered contacting Nintendo about it.

I've found they replied to both my emails within minutes. I'm going to email them about the SEGA Hanabi games too and see what the excuse is for that!

Beta, there's no way I would trust that game, and there's no way I would trust that ill-informed phone jockey customer support worker. If he had said "Yeah, that game was ****ing borked but we got it fixed up!" then I would believe him, but the fact that he said "Everything associated with our great company works perfectly no questions goodbye!" is hilarious.

Yes, great idea! Let's all ban together, buy Last Ninja 3, and rightfully complain! Wait.....what just happened?

In all seriousness though, it really isn't fair that people are stuck with a glitchy game and I hope that it really is fixed/had no problems to begin with.

You're also an incredibly bad writer if indeed you are responsible for the email sent by 'Sam'.
Don't codestorm give their staff some kind of professional automated response to cut and paste into their replies, or do they encourage their staff to fabricate poorly written responses to issues they know nothing about and can't be bothered to investigate?

Basically, what is the point in your job? Are you saying its just to lie to people and fob them off and if so does your team leader know that you are now trolling forums admitting that you basically make stuff up when replying to legitimate consumer questions because you can't be bothered to find out the answer to the question?

in my job i help lots of customers with their nintendo products, i do deal with all the VC emails that come in, we have not had any issues with this silly ninja game you saddos down loaded, try and play a real game.
anyway, you were the first 'person' to (yet again) complain about the VC download. most customer get a standard response from whoever i am but i thought i would write to you personally to inform you that there is no issue with this silly ninja game you saddos downloaded. if therei is a 'real' issue with a downloaded game if you delete it and dowload it again it would solve the issue, complaining on here like a little girl will not get the game working. i suggest you fully trust thsi 'sam' person and follow his sound advice or jsut delete the game and jog on.

peace out

Hello! I am very reputable special internet person and I bring you important insider news! Nintendo loves you and your complain hurts the sweet heart of Nintendo. Furthermore your complain are reminding me of the little girls, that have cooties, and you are not wanting to associate yourself with such icky things. So stop complain!

Why bother, the guy clearly isn't who he says he is and has just come here to do some pathetic trolling on the mistaken assumption that we are some sort of Nintendo fanboy site. Only someone of incredible stupidity would come on a forum and start insulting potential customers while admitting who he was when a quick email to his manager would result in him getting the sack. Just ban him and be done with it.

It was obvious from the start he wasn't who he claimed to be. It still doesn't solve the mystery of how you ended up emailing someone who wasn't from Nintendo though. I still can't believe that email came from anyone other than a junior high school student.

But rules are rules. Trolling = warning, not insta-ban. We have lots of folks here who hate Nintendo, and they participate in other areas. If he wants to do that, he can. If he can't control himself, on the other hand...

serviceman, maybe you don't realize, but Betagam7 isn't "moaning" about anything. There's a VC game he's interested in buying, but it's been poorly coded. Commodore has acknowledged the issue. He wants to know when it's going to be fixed so he can play it.

Regarding the email's source. I emailed codestrom who are the company Nintendo gets to run their service centre in the UK and the reply I posted was from them. If you google Sam's name you find other people who've posted replies they've had from him (usually moaning about how poor they are) as well as Jackson Davies, his team leader.
