| But if you get them on VC, you'll probably just need to get 1, X, and 3. It's neat to have the others, but they're not worth buying seperately (by that I mean 2 and 4-6). |

4-6 are considered the weakest of the Metal Slugs. Metal Slug 2 is good, but has nasty slowdown which X fixes. I also recommend getting Metal Slug Anthology. Especially since you have access to all the Metal Slugs & this has 60hz support. The GCN works fine for this, although I found the joy pad a bit iffy. Also I personally don't really like the other control methods, because of the forced motion controls. Last edited by slangman; 4th March 2010 at 10:48 AM.

Actually Metal Slug 5 really stands out to me. Great action, new enemies(other than Morden's soldiers) and some awesome hard rock tunes. By far Metal Slug 3 is still my favorite. Its a shame its not on the VC.

I hope SNK puts up Metal Slug X,3 & 4 sometime. They are good to own on Anthology, but for some reason I want to play the AES versions and also have CC support.
