Default Emulation issues?

I emailed Commodoregaming.com about whether or not the game was sped up (played at 60hz when it was originally 52hz, or something like that) and they confirmed that this was true, and also told me that they could not fix it. But does anyone know if all the Commodore games on the NA VC are like this?

I also told them in the email that I would love to see USB keyboard support, and they said they were looking into it. Here's hoping they do support it in the future.

Which game are you talking about?
I know something similar happened with the genesis version of Shadow of the Beast which runs ludicrously fast on its NTSC version.

Erk, that's tricky enough without being sped up!

Well I've never played the original so I can't compare it to that, but it seems perfectly playable to me, except for the fact that it's extremely difficult

I actually heard there are emulation issues with NA C64 releases. Can't confirm if this is the same with Europe, but IK is supossed to be missing some sound effects and the games are sped with with Last Ninja having music that sounds like it's been sped up.

What you're getting is basically the opposite of what PAL gamers get. Wheras our unoptimised games run slower, yours run faster. Either way its all down to a simple lack of optimisation.

So far though, its fair to say the C64 has had the most individual emulation issues of any VC channel.

Well the reason why the C64 have the NTSC speed up issues is because most of the games were developed in Europe & when its released on the American C64 the speedup appears the opposite of the no point complaing about PAL slowdown .

Thank you for answering this question. I've been thinking about it non-stop the nine months this thread has been inactive.

Is there any reason in particular why you thought repeating my exact explanation while adding some of your own gibberish sprinkled with question marks would in any way constitute something approaching a worthwhile post?
