Another great shooter this one. I can't stop listening to the music on the first stage. Great gameplay too dispite it been a little easy.

Great game. I beat this but my beating involved an awful lot of luck that one day. It's deceptively challenging, but lots of fun.

I was disappointed with this. It is too easy and the levels go on for too long.

I really wanted to like it as I'm a parody game fan....the 1st VC disappointment for me

Try out Detanna Twinbee! I'm sure you'll like it if you're a fan of parody games.

Seriously if you put this game on easy mode it is next to impossible to fail.

Really? The first level was easy, but it usually is in shmups. I'll see when I get Twinbee Portable.

The best thing about Star Parodier on my humble opinion is the outstanding soundtrack !

I was talking about Star Parodier. I thought it was quite clear that I was talking about SP since you were talking about its difficulty and this is the SP thread.

This is one of the easiest shooters on the VC. Only the last 2 levels were a bit of a pain, but even then I beat this game no problem. Not sure what hard mode is like though.

I've been playing on Normal, and most of the stages are doable, but the last stage kicks my ass.

I have Pop'n'Twinbee on cartridge for SNES (quite brilliant) - is this different enough from that to be worth getting?

Hence why they call it easy mode. As for Normal, I'll admit, it was quite challenging at times. How anybody can beat this game in one playthrough is beyond my understanding. After all, like all shmups, it is a memorization game, and unless you can see the future, you're bound to die at least once, if not ten or more times. At least until you learn the layout, the positions of the enemies, where all the power-ups are, and the patterns of the bosses.

This is definitely the easiest shmup on VC. I didn't lose my first life until the second half of level 3, which is saying something given how horrible I am at these games. I believe I was playing on normal too. The only ones that really gave me any real trouble were the pyramid level and the last level. But as I said, since I suck at these games, so I found this to be more of a positive thing.

I should really try hard mode...

Gave this one another go but cranked up the difficulty. It is a much better game at the higher level - the easy level spoils it.

Had forgot about the time attack modes too which are welcome - reminds me of the great "Game Paradise" on Saturn that has that mode.

Glad you liked it this time around.

I really should try hard mode some time, but I'm still struggling through normal mode. Man, Level 7 is a *****!

I'm still stuck on the final stage in normal mode. When I decide to try this game again, I'll probably just reset it and play the whole game again on easy. That way I can at least finish it.

This game is easy until the fourth stage. The fifth forward the difficulty increases dramatically.

Anyway is one of the best shumps that you find in the virtual console to date.
