| I think that the FF won't be coming to the VC for a long long time, perhaps they will never be released on the VC. And that just because SE is making way too much money releasing them on the GBA and even before they hit the GBA announcing that it will be ported to the DS too (in 3D). SE would just be stupid to put them up for the VC when they can sell it for way much more on the GBA/DS.

| Why not both? On later days Sqeenix have about 226 FF games in development at the same time and people is constantly buying these releases. Money to make, I don't think that Sqeenix will stand by and look.

| I think that making the game available on the VC will hurt the DS/GBA port sales. But anyway, how does SE make money by putting their games on the VC? I can imagine that they sell the rights to publish it and that would be it. Since only Nintendo can make money straight away from the VC by selling Wii points...

| Square can have my money. I'll be first in line for FFIV DS and I just finished it a couple weeks ago for the GBA. While I'm typically not into the whole 3D thing and prefer sprite-based gaming, I thought FFIII DS was terrific, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the FFIV remake. I'm also a big fan of Uematsu's music and am anxious to hear how the soundtrack will be arranged for the new game. Having grown up with FFIII(6) though, I'm sort of sad we won't see it on the VC anytime soon if ever. The GBA version is awesome, but the true experience can really only be had on the big screen and the original soundtrack. The battery in my FF3 cart will be dead very soon and it'd be nice to have it on the VC to enjoy again.

| I'm sure I'll get stoned to death for this but FF10 was my favorite. However, it is definitely not the best. I pick ten because the combat and upgrade system was very refined and efficient to use. It opened up so many doors for strategic elements. And when you have to use the combat system for a million kajillion random battles I find that to be a key ingredient for a fun FF game. I can do without the voice acting tho, bleh. Just because he looks like hes ten doesnt mean he needs to sound like it too.

| you know in all honesty i have never played, nor seen anyone play a final fantasy game in my life, and I'm 21. In which case i would be looking forward to such action on the VC, however i think there was some kind of press release stating how square was not interested in re-releasing the series on VC... sigh. |

| For me, Final Fantasy VIII was the best. Amazing gameplay, and the best story I´ve ever seen. I think FF VII is a bit overrated, though it´s a great game. But I never played any 2D Final fantasy anyway...

| Didn't like the graphical style and the story in FFVIII but the junction system was the best one ever since you didn't have to find "blade of fire" or something to battle enemies weak to fire, you just equipped Fire on your weapon. The magic system should've been with MP though, aswell as the GF since you could just spam them on bosses until they died. Best ever is FFVII though.

| I hate 7. it's a decent game, but i just find it annoying how nearly everyone think its the best RPG ever made, when it really isn't anywhere close. people also give FFVIII a hard time. I liked it myself. VI and Tactics are the best FF's IMHO. Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and Xenogears are still better though :-p |
