Default Ninja Gaiden II - Europe delay

I was looking through the games that have been released on one continent but not the other. Sure NA is missing out on Mario Picross or something (and 15 c64 games), but Europe is really missing games like Ninja Gaiden II (also Axelay and... Secret of Mana :P)

Just wondering if anyone would know why Ninja Gaiden II is taking so long? I know Ninja Gaiden 3 was never released in europe, but I'm damn well sure 2 was... what gives? This game has been out in NA for a year.

Natch! That's really sad to hear, Ninja Gaiden II was really good. Hopefully it'll get released sometime this year, although the chances of that happenning is getting slimmer every day.

This is another title I would expect in next Hannabi. Never played it, though 1 was super.

I am suprised that this is still not released on the PAL VC. If they are taking this long to release it, imagine how long it will take to get Ninja Gaiden III released. Pity, since I think Ninja Gaiden II is an improvement over the original.

Wait this still isn't out yet?! What the heck?

Anyways, this reminds me that I still need to get this game, although I'm waiting until I finally beat Ninja Gaiden 1, whenever that happens.

They're delaying the release to give everyone time to beat the first one. Another couple of years ought to do it .

I haven't beat Ninja Gaiden either. That last boss is fustrating (die and go back 2 stages). I prefer Ninja Gaiden 2, since you can walk on walls and it's less fustrating.

Yeah, I absolutely hate the way Ninja Gaiden is designed. It a potentially great game buried under deliberately implemented design flaws such as the one you mention about getting stuck on a wall and not being able to move up or down to correct yoruself. The insta-spawning enemies are another annoyance, especially in jumping sections.
What is it about games with the word 'Ninja' in the title that inevitabley make them either Mega-cheap or Mega-hard?

P.S cheers for Ice Climber, although the gf is having trouble with it due to it being "faster" than the VC version

Yeah, I hate them bits too. Espically when the birds are in your way on the jumping bits. What has Ryu done to those birds to hate him so much?

No probs. Glad it's being sold to somebody who will actually play it, unlike me.

I wasn't a fan of the 50hz NES version which I only bought for my GF as she used to play it but I'm quite enjoying this one. It's better as a portable game that can be played in quick bursts. The full screen and full speed is also more significant than I thought it would be on this game. I might pick a few more of these up now.

I actually much prefer playing this on my Wii , but yeah this is still good fun for beating your high score and the short nature on the levels means you don't have to spend too long on the game. The less said about the 50Hz version, the better.
