There aren't many NES games I'm vastly bothered about (most of my VC wishlist consists of handheld or SNES titles) though there are a few, most of which I can't think of right now.

I'm shocked that you wouldn't want Contra. To me this game was a gem back in the days. I remember playing this for hours upon hours.

Wasn't there a deal where if you pushed ABAB fast enough when you died that you could respawn endlessly?

I guess just by having "Snake" in the title, and Solid Snake in the pictures, the game will sell, I s'pose. A business is a business, afterall, and they're only trying to make money. If "Metal Gear" is in the name, or Solid Snake is on the box, the game will sell. I'm sure Konami know this, and Snake's Revenge will probably appear eventually.

Also, turns out I was wrong about Kojima hating the game, I'm thinking of the NES port of Metal Gear, though he did design Metal Gear Solid Touch, meaning I doubt he disapproved of it too much.

Snake's Revenge wasn't very good. I'll stick to getting MGS3S and the first 2 MSX games.

Yes, Kojima didn't want Konami ****ting all over his franchise. Not that I have anything against Konami.

Well, the designers of DMC 4 hated the idea of a 360 version and still they had to do it as being told by some higher being over at Capcom. I wouldn't be too surprised if Kojima just quickly did his due so he could move on from the iPhone MGS.

I played Mother. It sucked. I don't see why everyone should want to play a sucky game?

I played Mother, it didn't suck. Mickey hates most RPGs you like, so I wouldn't listen to his RPG recommendations, myself.

I played Mother too and it sucked. But after playing it for 1 hour it became good. After 2 hours it was great and after 3 hours it turned into the best nes RPG.

Like Keeper, I'd love to see Shadowgate.

However, as much as I love Shadowgate, I'd rather see Beyond Shadowgate for the TG-16 CD or Shadowgate 64, as I have never played those.

I played mother (earthbound 0) and I didnt like it. Mother 3 was ok but it doesnt come close to how good earthbound was.

I would like to see Metal Gear and Snakes Revenge on the vc.

All of the Earthbound games are great. Maybe it's just your nostalgia...
Anyways, Snake's Revenge was dumb, and I want the original 2 Metal Gear titles, not the dumbed down NES port and a non cannon game which isn't very good at all.

I agree. Plus, it's on a handheld, so you can play it on the go......... If you can read Japanese, taht is...Or if you have a laptop...But then you can play EB on the go too...

Actually, there's supposably a way to apply the English language patch to the rom in the cart itself, although I'm not exactly sure how to do that.

I don't think the people who don't get ROMs will go through that trouble, and the people that do get ROMs probably wouldn't go through such trouble for an RPG that's easily played on a PC. Just my $2.

Yeah, I'm kind of interested in this. I'm not sure that I'll want to tamper the cart once I get ahold of it, though.

I prefer not to emulate because it's illegal, but if I were to legally acquire a copy of this game I would be totally interested in patchin' it up Englishlike.
