Oh yeah, the Super Star Wars games were excellent. It'd be nice to see them again.

Battletoads is by Rare, so unfortunately no Battletoads games will be released for the VC.

This game will NEVER come out.
As it has already been discussed on vc-reviews, this episode never appeared on any of the systems currently emulated by the Wii.

You may look forward for Street Fighter II Turbo on SNES.

Is it? I don't think I've ever seen anything with the Battletoads name on it that wasn't a video game.

I'm clueless about the license thing, but I know Rare games are unfortunately not coming to the VC and I remember reading Rare on my old NES Battletoads NES cartridge.

rare games couold come out i suppose, rare are just prohibited from making new games for a nintendo console surely?
they could release the old games without any real problems, theyd earn a mint on them n all considering there are so many rare classics

Old Rare games can come out, but it's up to Microsoft as to when and where they come out (as MS own Rare). So it's unlikely we'll see most Rare games on VC. Battletoads is one of them; we're more likely to see that on Xbox Live Arcade than VC.

Yeah, and you really think the highly competitive Microsoft is gonna let that happen? Probably not. I'd love to be proven wrong though!

Isn't that what I said? :P

I'd love for Microsoft to be the "bigger man" here and let Wii owners play Rare games, but I can't see it ever happening.

They're just releasing the NES originals I think.

I think we'll see the NES original and then All Stars a couple of years down the line.

If they ever do that, they should give you a trade in option for putting the older versions of SMB 1, 2, Lost Levels and 3 towards All-Stars, but knowing Nintendo, I doubt it.

Once Flashback, Turtles tournament fighters (great TMNT konami fighter imo), and Knights of the round appear I can rest easy!
All three were such great games back in the day.... oh sweet nostalgia, but Ive played these not too long ago again in my mates house... they all still play great. Most of my wish list has ben released or is on it way though... so Im happy anyways.

RMA never lets me down with the priceless quotes. Assuming that you're not being coy, that's the Ryu avatar from Super Street Fighter II and SSFII Turbo. The animation is what happens when you choose to continue; he wipes the blood from his chin and gets ready for another fight, as it were. If I could make it sound less stupid, I would.

"There are fan translations of Seiken Densetsu 3/Secret of Mana 2, really good ones at that. Wouldn't Square be free to simply put these up on the VC? It's their property after all. "

Agreed, these are the most interesting titles for me and they're usually great. Also, I'd like to see some RPGs that didn't make it over here (europe).

I own all the classics or their remakes already.. but of course, multiplayer games are always nice to have.

Heh, I would but 1. It's not fully mine and 2. My Dad doesn't even let me trade in games, never mind sell them online.
Drives me mad when he's like that
He won't let me use Ebay either.
