With the releases we've gotten lately, I doubt Nintendo would give us two Mega Man releases in the same time span. But then again, anything is possible.

I believe they've held out on releasing them on the VC because NA already has Anniversary Collection. I know, it has a whacked-out control scheme, but Capcom knows people can buy it for cheap, instead of downloading them on the VC.

I don't think it will be released before MM9 As the games will be similar, so some people might just take the cheaper old VC games (unless MM9 is 500) Because nintendo never released Super Mario Kart before Mario Kart wii, and never released SSB before brawl. But the game is already in Europe so.....

I sure hope North America gets Mega Man. I wouldn't mind if it doesn't, even though its such a classic. All I have to do is buy Mega man Anniversary Collection. The real problem is if Mega man 9 doesn't come out in the US.

All the original Mega Man games are similar. The people waiting for Mega Man 9 are hyped up for a new experience. I doubt the release of Mega Man and Mega Man 2 on the VC would impact negatively on Mega Man 9s sales.
