| Koopa Trooper | Well Mario Party is just a game, afterall. I would like to see it on the Virtual Console though. I thought that it was a pretty good game, along with the whole series, pretty much. -- Lukario

| Monty Mole | Really? I always thought that Mario Party DS was, you can play EVERYTHING on it with just 1 game card, no limitations! And it has a puzzle mode which lets you play rare minigames from the older Mario Party games! And it has 6 bosses in it too, the final one is the best. |

| Well, to be fair I ve only played 1, 2, 4 and 5, but out of those I d say 2 was the best. At any rate, don't think Mario Party 9 is due anytime soon, so maybe we ll see MP1 soon? |

| Lemmy Koopa | Nintendo Should hold out on 9 for a few years. Release Mario Party 1 In the meantime, while they put some real effort into mario party 9 and make it the party of the ages.

| Maybe it should be saved for the next console. Their other franchises are usually given one game per console, why can't MP? There are plenty of Mario sports titles to go on you know. Although, I think 8 sold pretty well, so we could see 9 soon.... |

| Casual gamer since 1978 | Pocketim, do you realize that it seems that you weren't even knowing what you were writing? Look: Do you see it? A year ago: that means it is no more a news; it's a dead rumour that didn't become real. It's plain useless stuff. By the way, the latest Damo article on vc-reviews comes just in time. He's reasoning about the slow down in the VC releases.

| Mario Party was fun...at the time. Somehow, playing a virtual board game with simple minigames centered around rapidly pressing buttons and defeating your opponents loses its charm at some point. |

| Suprised Mario Party hasn't come to the VC yet. Loads of people would likely to download it since the Mario Party franchise sells by the truckload for some reason. |

| I think we should see it sometime this year. I mean, this was THE game that launched a thousand sequals. ..okay not that many but you get the general idea. |

| I doubt we will EVER see MP 1. There was a large controversy about the "rotating the control stick", some people got blisters and there was a big mess about it. Now for MP 2-3 I can see them being released but for MP 1 no way. |

| If it is still a problem Nintendo might be worried about, they can always include that in their health and safety information that they include with the game. But I don't think something like that will prevent MP 1's release. |

| They've changed their analogue sticks to be softer since the hard plastic sticks from the N64, anyway. |

| Lemmy Koopa | indeed. But honestly, if any of the Mario Parties came to VC, I wouldn't get any of them. Yeah they were fun back in the day, but there's 10 Mario Parties and in every game they improve on the last, so going from 8 to 1 would be a biiiiiiig step back.

| Do you like my helmet? | This is a complete list of all games for the N64 that could be released that would interest me. Wow, not many! I guess it's because the N64 was the beginning of Nintendo's pre-Wii death. I think Zelda is the only one we're likely to see, actually, though Harvest Moon and SSB might be distant possibilities. 1. Dr. Mario 64 2. Harvest Moon 64 3. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 4. Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber 5. Super Smash Bros. 6. Worms Armageddon |

| mario party 2 was the best though 3 comes to a close second in my opinion. 4 was o.k. not anything special and ,5,6,7,and 8 were all terrible and I re-sold all of them however I still love playing 1 2 and 3 and it would be awesome if they came to the virtual console for my n64 broke! |

| Mario Party is easily my faverite in the series. Although there were quite a lot of "snap your thumb moments". Suprised this is not out on the VC though. I also hope the other 2 come out, because all the N64 mario party games are great fun. |

| Mario Party 1 was the best, since it was new and fresh and unique. Mario Party 2 was still good, but after that it got old.... It's hard to say which is the best all-around, and everyone has his own personal favourite, which depends on where you found your favourite boards and minigames. I still stand by the point that (fortunately the Wii version) Mario Party 8 has the best variety in boards and fun minigames, even though my nostalgia calls for Mario Party 1 & 2. |

| I can't barely remember Mario Party 1 to 3, I rented them and played them on the Nintendo 64. ![]() However, I do remember Mario Party 4 to 8 since we bought all of them. It was mostly for my parents, who loves the Mario Party series, because its a game they can easily get into along with a few others like Mario Kart Double Dash!! We prefer Mario Party 7 out of the five games. I would love to see a WiiWare version of Mario Party 9 or even get to replay the older N64 Mario Party titles. EDIT: Corrected, thanks to SKTTR. | Judging by the quality of the later Mario Parties, I would rather see the N64 versions Mario Party to hit the VC. |

Quality in later Mario Party's? The quality was always the same. From Mario Party 1 to 8! Apart from new boards and minigames, each Mario Party featured a special game mode/feature, only found in that specific game and it all boils down to personal preference. Mario Party's gameplay never got worse with time. It just stood still. If you count the graphic jumps from N64 to Gamecube and from Gamecube to Wii, in fact Mario Party only got better with time (at least in the visuals department). I know, after reading reviews it seems Mario Party got worse and worse with each installment. I read, the first rated high and the series got only worse after that with each entry. But that's wrong! I have all Mario Party games. Mario Party just never changed it's formula (why should it since each and every Mario Party was/is a million seller) and got old for fans. If you're new to the Mario Party series, it's safe to say Mario Party 6, 7, 8 are the best ones to get, and Mario Party 1, 2, 3 are the worst. Last edited by SKTTR; 19th March 2010 at 07:19 PM.

but only because it's freaking repetitive single player mode took me months to complete 100%!! After MP4 I looked at the series from a better angle, seeing it as a multiplayer only series and then handled it like that. My experience with the series is: my friends loved to play Mario Party when it was new (Mario Party 1 and 2), but after that everyone was longing for something new. No one of my old friends would play Mario Party 3 with me. So Mario Party 3 was the beginning of boredom. Only when I introduced new friends to Mario Party 4, 5 etc. we had seemingly same fun as with Mario Party 1 & 2 years before. And to consider something important: I wouldn't bother downloading Mario Party 1,2 and 3 on VC if I didn't have 4 Gamecube/Classic Controllers and many friends/a big family that loves to play videogames.

I still haven't finished Mario Party 2 yet or even finished the first game board. Won't be getting it on VC unless the CC joystick is better than the N64 one, especially for the mini games.
