Well, Europe's on 299 VC games, so chances are we could see Nintendo do another Metal Slug and release it during the Hanabi Festival...

...or release Kirby 3 instead. T.T

It might be that they just give us SMK on another one after 300, i dont mind as long as it is not too much more of a wait :P

Ok, i have enough SNES consoles but it is for the whole community to have it on VC.

But SMW2 hasn't been rated or released in Japan.

Why do we still have to be dependent to the japanese, even for these older games . . (I know because of the ads the game will have like 60 hz support etc.) but still, it would be a nice present for other continents ; ).

I was just saying that since it hasn't been rated or released in Japan, SMW2 is incredibly unlikely to show anytime soon. SMK on the other hand has been rated and released in Japan so we know it released before long.

i played SMK in hospital with some guy and with that friend, and in bad times, no wonder eh

To be very honest with you guys, I am not really following the japanese charts and releases, what I meant is that it would be great for Europe or US to get a title earlier than in Asia.

i have to admit i liked SMW2, but got annoying by mario, even though he's nintendo's logo
then the timer when he got hit, its just getting annoying the more i played it, but dont mean its bad

anyway, SMK will be mine with my next wii points card (i hope), first i buy Kirby's 3
and i will for sure practice alot, and it might let me play mario kart wii online with battle mode

It may be a little bit annoying about the game (the baby), but that doesn't mean the game is bad in its general. SMW 2 is a true Nintendo game indeed and is just as important for me as SMW 1 on Snes. As for VC I also see forward to games such as Kirby 3 and DK 64.

lol, i dont see others talking about that anymore

anyway, about SMK, i found it weird it wasnt on VC when SoM was, since SoM is from SE, and SMK from nintendo, and not that much time between the releases (compared to how long SNES was very popular)

Well, unlike SoM, Super Mario Kart is a lot more difficult to emulate, so naturally there's gonna be a larger gap between their releases. And besides, it's not like were going in order of original releases, anyways.

first i should say what i meant
what i meant was that SMK should've been on coming soon list earlier
and why would SMK be harder to emulate? its not like SMK is more advanced, cuz SoM is, and its bigger and so on
plz try to explain your points, so that everyone knows what you mean

what would be the reason that SMK came later than SoM to the VC? i find it weird

SMK was released before SoM on the SNES, i just checked, so couldnt be that

Super Mario Kart IS more advanced: It used the DSP-1 Chip to allow for more advanced scaling and rotation. Only 15 other games have ever utilized this chip, most of which were only ever released in Japan. This, and many other special Super NES chips, such as the Super FX and the SA-1, have been plaguing Emulation authors for years. It's no surprise that Nintendo has been taking so long to release the games that utilized these chips.

i mean, its not like they cannot do it, just takes more time perhaps, but i was talking about "coming soon" list, they announced SMK very late imo
and since "coming soon" mostly has no real release date, they could've done it earlier

btw, this wasnt supposed to become a discussion, but i wanted to say that it could've come earlier to VC
dont take me wrong, i already am very happy this comes to the VC

This arguement about the special chips is worthless. Several games that have used special chips have already been released and, most importantly, Super Mario Kart is out in Japan.

The ZSNES can emulate them all.

Does Japan have any Super FX games?

Too bad the Wii doesn't use ZSNES.

I don't think so, but then again, very few Super FX games were ever released in Japan anyways.

About 11, although very few were all that notable, in fact, I think you mentioned all the good ones. I think.

The Super FX Chip Top 9

1. 10/10 Yoshi's Island - Super Mario World 2 (Nintendo)
2. 09/10 Starfox / Starwing (Nintendo)
3. 09/10 Starfox 2 (unreleased) (Nintendo)
4. 08/10 Stunt Race FX (Nintendo)
5. 08/10 Winter Gold (Funcom / Nintendo)
6. 08/10 Doom (id Software)
7. 06/10 Vortex (Argonaut Software / Electro Brain)
8. 05/10 Dirt Trax FX (Sculptured Software / Acclaim)
9. 05/10 Dirt Racer (Motivetime Limited / elite)

What were the other 2 games if there were 11?

So pretty much 8 games that use the SFX Chip, 3 of which use the second model. None of which are on VC in the US (not sure about Europe or Japan).

You men Super FX Chip, right? Because practically every SNES game had some mode 7 segment and they all used it well. I don't even think mode 7 was a chip. As far as I know, it was built into the SNES.

Its an in- built piece of hardware, 90% chance of being a chip related one, mode 7 was made for 3d or double layer background look environments (allthough its not real/full 3d), The sprite you use to play with stays 2d though.

I'm actually shocked to hear that MK64 could be the weakest. It's the only MK aside from the handhelds I don't own, and I would've downloaded awhile ago if it weren't for Pokemon Snap. (Which sadly, is not nearly as fun as I remembered it...when I was 8 :/ )

Thumbs down

It is coming, and that's terrific...this Monday I think. I'm sure this excites a lot of gamers on here, but as I already have the cartridge on SNES, I would much prefer some Moonwalker, however, now the lineup is looking like we'll get Pilotwings and Super Smash Bros. in weeks to follow. Unless Nintendo gets ballsy and releases more than one VC game :O

Super Mario Kart is awesome game. Graphics are amazing and gameplay is fun. Its one of the best video games ever made. it wouldn’t be Mario Kart without the sublime controls; power sliding is still as fun now as it ever was.

Mario kart GBA is a mix of the snes & 64 mks as it has the voices and crew of 64 and track style of snes.
