Arrow Super C review (vc-reviews.com)

Super C - NES

The alien Red Falcon is back, and planning on taking over the planet Earth. Now it's up to Scorpion and Mad Dog to battle through five levels and save the planet. Based on the arcade game, Super C is the sequel to Contra. Gameplay is a combination of side scrolling/platform and top down view. ...

I'm still confused as to why they chose to release 2 sequels to Contra and not...CONTRA!!!???!!!

Ahem, that having been said, another fine review, sir.

Just to prove my point about the difficulty, I played both Probotector and Probotector II on my NES the other day - The first was rock-hard as always, I breezed through II in one go.

That much of a difference huh? I hope so, because that comment just increased my chances of buying Super C!

I'm kind of turned away from Super C because Contra was way too hard.

I could be wrong but I suspect we might see Contra when Contra 4 comes out for the DS. Just a guess tho.

Super C is so much easier than Contra.

Super C is easier the Contra, but I can't tell because all the years of playing the original with 30 lives has made me very lousy at the game actually. I'm looking forward to getting Contra on the VC so I can get better at it slowly but surely sans code.

That having been said, I downloaded Super C only today and I haven't been able to put it down. Absolutely amazing game.
