Default Good Nintendo 64 Fighters?

If there are any, that is. I know the N64 is lacking any traditional fighting games, which are usually the only kind I can get into, but I might as well ask if anybody knows of any that are really good, especially some that are different from your usual Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat/Virtua Fighter clones?

I was only going to suggest Mortal Kombat 4 or Killer Instinct Gold (or was that SNES?)

Killer Instinct Gold is the only good one I can think of. There's also War Gods but that game is horrible.

Fighters Destiny

A very good 3D fighter akin to Virtua Fighter with a unique point scoring system for ring outs, throws and KO's, I have this one and its very good; easily the best on the system if you ask me.

According to Wiki it also has a sequel called Fighter Destiny 2 that I wasn't aware of until now.

If however you want something totally unique then Raguka Kids from Konami; a bizarre 2D cartoon style fighter might be for you, however I don't think it got a NA release.

It's so unheard of it barely registers on a google image search

It didn't come to NA unfortunately. Sad, because it looks like something I'd really enjoy.

Yeah, never released in Europe for some reason. I actually have it (The cart's paint black like Turok 2), but have not played it, due to lack of a N64 Passport. Only saw my girlfriend play and test it when I was in America, lol. XD

The only N64 fighter I ever played was this Transformers Beast Wars game: YouTube - Beast Wars Transmetals Game Play (Part 1)

I had fun with it as a kid (I guess, hard to remember) but apparently it was a rental-only game, and it sucks. Eh, go figure.

Killer Instinct Gold - best 2.5D in the N64,
Figther Destiny has a good score system and good response. bad graphics but good physics.
Mace the Dark Age. Better graphics and atmosfere, fatalities and gore.
Mortal kombat 4 is not my thing but is not bad

Super Smash Bros. is a party game, not a fighter.

Flying Dragon interests me most outta those, so I'll add it to my list, thanks. I might consider adding Killer Instict Gold, Mace: The Dark Age, and Fighters Destiny to my maybe list if I can find two more half-interesting N64 games to keep it even.

Good luck finding KI Gold. I had a hard time finding it when the N64 was still current-gen, so it may be next to impossible to find now, though I am not sure

It's commonly available on ebay. That big "Rare" logo on the cart only indicates the developer

Yeah, my bro and I played it some back in the day, since we liked the first, but after 20 minutes we already switched to something else.

Power Stone is a good one. It's a platform Fighter, but it's more hardcore than Brawl. :P

EDIT: Ah, wrong system.
