I liked both titles, but the one for the N64 had that cheat that allowed none of your serves to be returned. For that reason, and better courses, is the reason I think the Gamecube is the one to go with. Of course, this has been redone with motion controls for Wii, but i have yet to try it

I still own it for N64. I don't remember it being anything too special. There was a lot to unlock if I remember correctly.

It's Pong, but with chunky ugly N64-era Mario graphics.

I like chunky N64-era Mario graphics. Everything is nice and colourful, the chunkyness is somehow charming. It also benefits from not trying to look realistic, and therefore ending up looking somewhat crappy within a few years.

For some reason the gameplay is just so addicting, it is relatively simple, but everything is done so well that it does not really get old.

Yeah, instead it looks crappy instantly. The GCN graphics don't try to look realistic, either. They're just nice smooth cartoon Mario graphics.

The gameplay is good, though, in both games.

Well, yeah, Pong is fun. If Nintendo includes this in Mario Sports Mix, then you probably don't even need to play the N64 game.
