Default Priciest N64 Game?

It's my videogame goal someday to own every N64 game release for the console, so I was wondering what's considered the priciest N64 game? And while we're at it, what's the rarest too?

I know Bakuretsu Muteki Bangai-O is very rare.
Only 10.000 cartridges were produced.

It was a surprise to see ISS 2000 up there. The only N64 ISS game I didn't buy, only borrowed. I didn't like the goofy manga style story mode and I seem to recall it had an unsucessful use of Hi-Res with the expansion pak.

Plus I had spent so long editing everyone in ISS 98 to their real names that I couldn't be bothered to do it all over again

Picked up the GBC version recently for 99p but alas I can't get it working.

If its cardboard, I don't bother, that's what I always say about game collecting. XD It'll be hard enough to get all the carts, but good condition boxes? Forget about it. If I see a boxed version for a reasonable price, I'll get it, but not paying too much extra for one.

What's funny is I found ISS 64 for £2.99 yesterday, boxed. XD

Yep that one can go for up to £75 on Ebay.

Looking on Ebay, I noticed that Sin & Punishmnet isn't too expensive compared to the other rare games. Maybe the VC version has reduced it's value a bit.

That isn't that funny seeing as it goes for as little as 99p on ebay. It's 2000 that is the rare game. 64 does have absolutely hilariously bad commentary though.

Maybe just get complete copies of your favorite N64 games?

I'm in complete agreement about cardboard boxes. If I'm ebaying I will deliberatly purchase a cart over a cart box combo. I'm simply not interested in the space these tatty old things take up when I can just neatly stack the cartridges...but then I suppose it boils down to the fact that I collect games to play them whereas others just collect them for the sake of colelcting them.

Even though my backloggery is huge I do intend to play every game I buy and don't just get them for the sake of it (unless in a Metroid Prime situation its because I'm hoping for them to appreciate in value). I don't see the point of collecting things just for the sake of it.

I want complete copies of disc games, because disc only is just ugly looking and kinda tacky. And it would make it harder to find what game I want to play. For carts, I tend to want cart only, but if I love the game (e.g. Earthbound), I do want a complete copy.

This Cart-only copies of games have little to no collector value. They're good for personal fun/satisfaction. I always endeavour to get complete copies of disc-based games (most of my PS1-2, GCN, and current-gen collections are complete, some without manuals), but my NES, SNES, Genesis, N64 collections are mostly cart-only, sometimes with junk stuck to them or marker scribblings on them, etc. I pick up games that are great deals or old games I want to play. I'll take a SNES/N64 game in a box if it's cheap or if it comes as part of a bundle I'm buying, etc.

But on-topic, I think it stands to reason that a complete and/or mint copy of one of these rare/expensive N64 games will be even more rare/expensive.

Yes, but everyone doesn't always agree on that.

Because those games are crazy expensive complete! Seriously, it's pretty ridiculous. What cartridge based systems do you own? I'm assuming an N64, and complete copies of N64 games aren't too expensive (cheaper than even GameCube games).

You can always fold the boxes up & store them away in a shoebox so they all out of the way & the Cartridges stacked neatly on a shelve elsewhere, Its what i done with all of my GBA & N64 boxes alonge with a few other boxes as well.
