Default Next first party Nintendo game on 64 VC

So we are all hoping for games like DK64 to show up on the VC, but there are quite a few other first party games that would see all too easy to release on the VC. Which first party games do you want to see?

I am hoping for DK64 - duh, as well as Excitebike 64. I always thought it was a gun game.

Mario Tennis and Mario Golf are the ones I'm hoping for, too.

動物番長

(Dóbutsu Banchó aka Animal Leader)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYaGhUvkBZA
Japanese Commercial

It was a first party Nintendo title developed by
Saru Brunei and Marigul. The founders were
working together closely with Shigeru Miyamoto
at Nintendo for 15 years.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LdhK8PCvHc
Game Intro

The game was announced as one of the first
64DD games but then was released on catridge
in Japan only. Later it was ported to the Game-
cube. Again, the game remained Japan only
until publisher ATLUS changed the name and
released it in North America in 2002 as
CUBIVORE: SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.

A Hanabi N64 version on the Wii Shop Channel
would be the biggest chance to get this game
over to Europe.

I wanted this since I saw the first footage of
those blocky animals ripping their limbs off and
blocky blood splattering across the screen,
then see them pooping and leaving their crap.

This game is on top of my N64 wishlist.

Second place is another one we could only get through Hanabi:
Bakuretsu Muteki Bangai-O by Treasure.

In fact, I have all good N64 games that were released in Europe.
Imports are the ones I wish for.

#3. Sim City 64

#4. F-Zero X Expanison Pak

#5. StarCraft 64

Well, Hanabi brought lovely games over to Europe like
Sin & Punishment and Ogre Battle 64. I really hope we
get the games I mentioned above too some day.

But realistically speaking, I think we'll get something like
Mario Tennis, Cruis'n World, Pilotwings 64 or
Bomberman 64 next.

Donkey Kong 64, Excitebike 64 and Diddy Kong Racing
need some recoding but I think that's already done by now
so there's high chances of seeing them too.

Also Mario Party 1 2 & 3 could be released anytime by now.

And even The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Master Quest
would be a quick cash-in that could be released without trouble.

And when Rare's exclusive Microsoft-deal runs out, Nintendo could
release Banjo-Kazooie and the rest finally.

Most of those aren't first-party!

Grasp!! I r dunmb. I guess I should pay more attention to the N64 section.

Wait, isn't that one of the games folks were complaining about that had reduced functionality from not being able to use the Memory Paks or something?

Well, first party... second party. ..yah..
at least all of the games I mentioned are in someway connected to Nintendo very closely.

CUBIVORE is first party since Saru Brunei and Marigul are Nintendo in-house like Intelligent Systems and HAL Laboratories.

BANGAI-O is from Treasure who developed the first party Sin & Punishment games and Wario World, and Mischief Makers (which was published by Nintendo too).

SIM CITY 64 is by HAL, a Nintendo second party.
F-Zero Expansion Pak is of course Nintendo property.
StarCraft 64 was published by Nintendo.

All the other games I mentioned are/were either 1st or
2nd party, or Nintendo-published (Bomberman 64).

It doesn't have reduced functionality.
We just have to wait until Game Boy Mario Golf will be released on VC.
Then it will connect just like the Sonic&Knuckles stuff.
(You mean the Transfer Pak issue)

Hmm, I just read a bit about the Transfer Pak issue and it really doesn't seem like much of a big deal. I might look into this game after all.

Also, Rare doesn't have an "exclusive Microsoft deal" — they are owned by Microsoft. That "deal" won't come to an end until Microsoft sells them off, probably for more than the $375000000 they paid for them. Alas.

I hope we see Pilotwings 64 and Mario Tennis soon with also some more imports like Bangai-O and Simcity 64.

SimCity 64 is a 3D version of SNES SimCity (the nintendofied version).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bZcMi5zasM footage of intro and game start.

Mario is not a disaster. He's a building (a statue) you get
for making your city a megametropolis (a population of 5.000.000 I think).
Bowser is a disaster.

Developed by some dudes who make lots of cross-platform licensed games, published by Midway (which is now in bankruptcy and as far as I know hasn't supported any VC releases...).

Yep, it was developed by Realtime Associates and published by Midway. Sadly neither have released any VC titles at this time.

So with Mario Tennis now out, that leaves some golden first party games to be released! I am really hoping for Mario Party now. I cant wait to blister up my palm from the Tug of War and Bicycle games!

I just get the ones I dont have for N64. Plus my N64 controllers are getting a bit unplayable so for multiplayer i have to be able to use other controllers.

Anyone realized that the next N64 game in NA and Europe will be number 20 on the VC? Took us awhile huh? XD

Therefore, I expect something bigish, do not disappoint Nintendo. :P

1. Mario Tennis is better than Mario Party 1 2 3.
Mario Party 1 2 3 are not first party.

2. No, there's no complete N64 version of Earthbound 64.
Game was cancelled and then released for GBA in JP only.

3. No, Starfox 2 wasn't a N64 game either.

They should morph the N64 logo on the Wii Shop screen into the Sega Saturn logo, and start selling those instead.

BUT...If we have to get an N64 game (or at least Europe), Mischief Makers or Bangai-O wouldn't be bad games to have.

Yes, it's maybe the best racing game on the N64...
if there weren't so many best racing games on it.

No, Excitebike 64 was really really good.

I hope the original Excitebike will still be in there as an unlockable.
And I really liked the pseudo-classic Excitebike (like the WiiWare version) and the Hillclimbing and hilarious Downhill mode
Of course the controls, track design, soccer mode and course editor too made Excitebike 64 one of the best racing packages on the N64.

I know, I was just referring to the fact that this and Earthbound 64 were both unfinished games that could possibly make an appearance on the VC.

Also, I would love for Excitebike 64 to come out. I have it for my console, but I think my friend used a game shark and screwed it up...

Star Fox 2 is a SLIGHT possibility, as it was pretty much finished (although from what I hear, kinda mediocre), but Earthbound 64 will never happen. They barely had any progress making that game, which is why it was cancelled.

Got it. Thanks for the info. JUst wish Starfox 1 would come out now so I can play it. DK64 should come out at the same time as DKC Returns!

I want the first Star Fox game. You know what would be better than getting Donkey Kong 64 when Donkey Kong Country Returns is released? Getting the arcade Donkey Kong game.

I really doubt it. Certainly not on the VC, anyway, which is a platform for previously released games in their original forms. SF2 was never released, so if we ever want to see it it'll have to 1. be on WW, and 2. be tweaked.

Excitebike 64 and DK64 are both far more likely possibilities.

I would have to go with Excitebike 64 or DK64...any one of those would be worth spending some of my points (3700) that I've been holding onto forever in hopes of a quality VC game (mainly holding out for DK64, though)
