| Super Mario World is a very good platform game of 16 bits era (but Sonic 1 for Genesis and Donkey Kong Country 2 are better), but Super Mario 3 is outstanding. Super Mario 3 is the best game of 8 bits era and one of the best games of all time and the best Miyamoto´s creation.

| Super Mario World. It felt more fun, the locations were more interesting and it had ghost houses. ![]() Also wins brownie points for the star road and final confrontation. |

| SMW for me. It is still probably the console game I have spent the most time with simply due to the fact that back then I could only afford about one new game every six months and so this and Super Probotector were pretty much played inside out by me at the time of their original release. SMB3 has never been that appealing to me and I only ever beat the SNES remake. There seems to be a lot of nostalgia attached to the game but as I never owned a NES I don't feel that nostalgia for many of its games, in fact I think many of them are quite overrated (Mega Man, Ninja Gaiden etc). Super Mario Bros 1 is undeniably awesome though

| Monty Mole | Super Mario 3 seemed to me to just have more diverse worlds for the levels. Also, The stupid little mini games that were available in between levels were also kinda fun! I just like the overall experience better. I think it is extremely impressive that such an amazing game could be created on such a limited platform. Look at the differences technologically between the first Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario 3. Simple Incredible!

| Both games are plagued by some horrible respawning issues in my opinion.

| Lemmy Koopa | I voted for both I like how in Super mario bros. 3 I found real satisfaction apon beating it. It was quite the challenge. The levels were great, and the music was awesome. Super Mario World wasn't as challenging, but it was still great. The levels hel;d tons of secrects, the music was upbeat, and Yoshi was a blast. The level design was almost as good as Super mario bros. 3

| Banzai Bill | SMB3. As far as Mario games go I don't even really like SMW. Again, as far as Mario game go. I do enjoy it. |

| I much prefer Super Mario World, but that's probably a nostalgia thing since I have great memories of playing it with a former best friend when I was young. Even now though, I enjoy it more. I love SMW because of the inclusion of Yoshi, the power-ups and the awesome ghost house levels too though. |

| Cheep Cheep | Again for me some nostalgia thing leans me towards SMB3. There was just somehting about it, hard to explain that did it for me. SMW was awesome with great memories too, and almost equally as good. Perhaps the ridiculous amount of 1-ups you can gather on some levels with ease made it less challenging. But some tough levels later on made up for that, and with all the exits it made for a lasting game. SMB3 also gets the huge credit for pushing the NES with its depth in gameplay and amount of levels. Infact i think SMB3 is my 2nd or 3rd fave game ever.

Super Mario World. Super Mario Bros. 3 is a good Mario game, with some inventive powers ups. However, Super Mario World had much more imaginative level design, and it felt like an adventure. It wasn't so incredibly linnear (there were so many ways you could go off the beaten path, marked at the very start, with 2 different areas), and it was so much more fun. Super Mario Bros. 3 is more of a by the books sequel, while Super Mario World is an evolution of the 2D platforming series. PS Whoever said DKC was better than SMW is completely wrong. Whichever one of these 2 amazing games is considered better, I hope we can all realize that DKC is worse than both. | |

| Super Mario Bros 3 was more 'unique' for me, Super Mario World 1 was and always wil be just a small instalment to test a mario game with some new skills and upgraded graphs, the game itself imo is too shortsided. For me Super Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island was the unique one for Snes in all its ways. (Though it wasnt really a standard Mario game) So I go for Super Mario Bros. 3 with no doubts at all.
