Blaster Master - NES

The New York sewers were never like this! You've fallen down a hidden manhole into a world of creatures so terrifying they'd scare the rats away. You can panic and perish, or blast your way through an endless maze of tunnels, searching for the secret passages to your escape. And, that's the easy par..

Easily one of the best and most polished NES games I have ever played! I'm so glad I got it!

this whole game from top to bottom graphics to gameplay to music, is a work of art and genius. holds a special place in my heart. loved the PS1 game too, but that doesnt hold a candle to this. i think it should be 10/10.

oh the NES version by a long shot. overdrive is good, but not very well balanced and doesnt have that fast paced feel of the original. actually i have quite a few complaints about it...

i do enjoy it though seeing as how i'm a metafight fanboy

Really, the only honest negative about the NES version is the inability to save, and a lack of a password function.

Too hard?

I'm not making fun... I generally can't stand games that are too hard too.

I haven't actually played this one, even though I got it for my birthday, but I've read it's too hard.

It's only too hard because of the afformentioned lack of a save or password function. If you keep trying, it's not that bad. Just, you only get so many tries before it kicks you back to the start of the game.

My favourite game ever. Beautiful vibrant art and colouring for a NES game, like nothing else I have seen on that system. Great exploration feel with panoramic backgrounds and always the sense of being in an entirely different world.

I thought Blaster Master took place in the real world.

Yeah its a bit the same as with most Nes games, games like SMB 3, Zelda II etc. if they had a better save system, the games would be even more appreciated (though SMB 3 is already high rated). The Nes had so many great games, but it lacked with good save systems, most games worked with passwords.

Its a good thing the Wii is integrated to 'save' where you left though it has no effect on the original functions of the games, because when you die you mostly start at the beginning of the game or world. On topic : This in my opinion is one of the best games on Nes, it has many extra' s and enemies to keep you gaming.

Blaster Master is one of the best games on the NES IMO...Overdrive was awesome as well, but it definitely took a lot of its cues from the original (although I DO like the updated sound of the original theme music)
