| INVISO TEXT answer!! You know how the areas in the forest are circular? look for paths going UP into the center instead of down and out into a new area! Hope that helps!

| Lemmy Koopa | Yeah this was my first time playing it too, and I loved it. I'm playing Paper Mario thousand Year Door right now. Hmm I don't know if it's better, it did improve a lot... But once I'm done that I'll be playing super Paer mario again.

| I've played and enjoyed both Paper Mario's the day they came out in EU. And now I'm taking a short break from the new Super Paper Mario that I got yesterday. Almost 12 hrs into it, this game is fantastic!! Paper Mario Series: 3 x 5/5 Stars. |

| I haven't played it for a week, but I stayed up until 5am last night and had a catch-up Just finished Chapter 5, I'm starting Chapter 6 in the day today rather than night, I'll try to finish it depending on the length. I was expecting the boss to be hard, but I actually found him pretty easy... I had badges that raised my attack and defence against fire, and kept using Shushie's defence and squirt moves.

| Super Yay! I finally finished Paper Mario last night...good job too because playing this and Super paper mario at the same time was starting to get confusing (kept trying to flip into 3d!) What an epic final showdown! It would have...*goes into invis text* been over a lot quicker if I'd remembered to put on "feeling fine" badge. Took almost 30mins due to him and mario healing every few turns. Stupid poison claws! *stops talking about ending* hm....probably could of beaten the game without using jumping attack badges....too awkward to get the timing right.. |

| Finished Chapter 6 last night. I'm hoping to complete the game tonight or tomorrow night, I need it completed before MySims arrives. I'll then move straight on to TTYD or take a break with Ocarina of Time, depending on how I feel.

| It took me an hour to find the snow place I was too tired by the time I found it so I'll be doing that tonight now >_< On the good side, I did manage to find the (too well hidden) games room while trying to find another pipe that would take me to a different underground area (where the snow level pipe might have been) A question: How long after finishing Chapter 7 is there until the end of the game? I'm not sure whether to finish it from Chapter 7 or do it in 2 chunks...

| completed this about a month ago. I was really excited about playing, never played a paper mario game before and always wanted to. However now I've played it I have to say I was a little disappointed. Let me take a moment and share with you my grievances. I found it particularly aimed at kids, it was a very stripped down rpg and extremely simplified. I think the main thing about the system I found off putting was that you can only improve your attack power with badges or weapon upgrades (of which there are only 2 or 3 for each weapon; shoes and hammer). Which in theory works, but is pretty unsatisfying. It would have been better if you could upgrade your weapons more frequently, raising your attack power then they could have increased the difficulty of the enemies proportionally. With that changed they would also need to add some sort of better defence system, which would also be upgradeable. At the moment increases in defence again only come with badges. The other problems I have with the game are relatively minor. I thought most of the music was good or satisfactory, but a couple tracks were positively repulsive. In particular the music of koopa village and when twink (who the hell thought of that name!?) comes down to speak to mario. They were like annoying nursery rhyme tunes that some pleb had remixed and managed to make even more annoying! I also wondered why it was even 'Paper' mario. There is no actual reason for him to be made out of paper. I mean in the new one on the wii, it is actually part of the game mechanics. But in this one he might as well be three dimensional and they could have called it Mario RPG. Was it just to save on processing power? The only other gripe was that most of the time bowser acted like a whiney spoilt *cat pseudonym*. I mean I don't mind when they make him a bit stupid but he should still be a mean *child with unmarried parents*! Anyway, sorry to dump on you guys, I just don't know anyone one else in the tangible world that has played paper mario 64. All that said I did still enjoyed playing it and would recommend it to a friend. I would say though, take certain parts with a pinch of salt. cheers cook Last edited by i8cookie; 18th September 2007 at 04:40 PM. |

| The one in merlows house is linked to the one in the castle. If you collect an item as princess, put it on the box in the castle and mario can get it from the box at merlows. If that is the box you are talking about... |

What items were they anyway...I never found anything at all as the princess.... @Mendez Did you expect them to make it easy for you to reach the final boss, hm? I wish they made it easier to get back though...it a very looooong way back from final save point.

I know!! Why didnt they let you save at the end of the game? It takes a good 15 mins to walk all the way back through the castle! Lazy programmers.

| Tonight be the night I finish Paper Mario. I don't care how long it takes me, I'M DOING IT! Chapter 7 kept me up until half 1 last night, the boss was no trouble but that weird mansion place took me well over an hour... I was just on the verge of giving up while looking for the red key then I found a way through. Am I still a gaming slug? I have completed it pretty fast since chapter 5 (for my standards XD) BTW, I'm on 22.22 play time wise after getting the 7th star spirit. I assume the 35-40 hour stuff I heard was untrue 0_o

| Finished it the night I said I was gonna finish it. Had to stay up until 3am to do so though, I was completely whacked in training yesterday after less than 4 hours sleep >_< Last save time= 24:30ish Ending time= Just over 25 hours. Mario- Level 23 HP- 50 FP-45 BP-30 The game was actually pretty easy IMO, I never properly died once, most enemies were easily defeated bar boss 7 (because of healing) and the final boss. I like my RPG's easy anyway, so it's best that way for me. I was close to starting TTYD last night, but it's probably best I have a break first.

Yeah, boss 7 was the ice place. He had high defence and kept healing. I actually beat both boss 7 and the final boss with 1 HP left (I did have life shrooms, but still, bit of a coincidence!)

| I was just about to question again, then I remembered who it is. At least there's something left to do except get badges/upgrades/star pieces now, even if I have started the sequel already.

| I'm getting a little bored of it now... I've somehow managed to get stuck in the 2nd area (in the big tree, where you see the big hoards of little things who batter Punio). Just feels like I've tried everything. And no, it's not me getting stuck that's putting me off it. It's the masses of text which really drags on and the amount of mystery in the storyline compared to the first one, not to mention the fact I've played 35 hours odd of Paper Mario without a break now. Maybe I should finish the tree then take a breather for a couple of months while I enjoy the flood of Wii games...

| Lemmy Koopa | Juat to tell you the tree world is the worst one. But keep pkalying I'm sure you will like the next places. And if your gonna stop, at least play a bit of the next plase just to see what it's like. But wait your only in the second place and you've played for 35 hours! Then you truly need help. Tell me where you are and I'll help you without making it too obvious.
