Whats your favorite world in Super Mario Bros 3?

Mine would be world 4 which is Big Island/Giant Land. Its my favorite world in all mario games mainly because everything is much bigger. And i find it much easier to jump and dodge the enimes. My second favorite would be world 1 ive played it so many times and still it doesnt get old.

Also say which is your least favorite level. Mine would easily be world 7 because it took me along time to beat it the first time i got there. Now its pretty easy sense ive beaten the game a few times but it was alot of trail and error.

Great idea for a thread and I love the new avatar. My favourite world is tied between worlds 1 and 4. My least favourite world is tied between worlds 3 and 6.

My favorites are World 3 because I like the swimming levels and World 8 because of the neat secrets there. World 7 however is the bane of my existance.

I always like the Ice world and it that also is my pick for SMB 2 as well.

A close second would be world 3 the tropical water level where the frog suit is located

Thats my third favorite world, mainly because u get to use the frog suit on most of the levels.

I actually really like worlds 4-6. World 1 is fine but it's a little boring. World 3 might be my least favourite, but even that's not a bad one! Great game overall.

I like worlds 4 and 5. But as was said before, world 1 never gets old!

World 7 would have to be my lesat favourite- too many pipes to travel through.

I'm probably in the minority but I actually like World 7. Very challenging and very satisfying when you get through it. In fact it's one of the major reasons I consider Super Mario Bros. 3 the best of the classic Mario games.

And your reasons are very good to, i get very exitied once i finish world 7 even now. Just because i find it to be the hardest world besides World 8.

I also agree with you that Super Mario Bros 3 is the best classic mario game. All the worlds are different and there are a variety of good power ups. And the airship levels are amazing i still have fun playing them when ive beaten them all 10+ times.

I'm glad to see other people here who prefer SMB3, I thought the consensus around here was that SMW is better. I also like World 7 for its challenge.

answer is easy, but cant tell which is which world, havent played that game for ages

not at VC yet

my 2 favorites are the world with pipes and the giant monsters
pipesland cuz its fun to have challenge, and search for pipes to use

giant monster, cuz it looks hard, but actually is easy... but major reason is: something different from the rest, like not just enemies which you see in the rest of the game

I don't try and choose the best out of SMB 3 and SMW, because they are both breat fun to play! I can play through both again and again without getting bored!

Wow, it has been forever since I last played Super Mario Bros. 3. But I remember that my favorite Worlds were World 3, World 4, and World 5.

I love World 3, Water Land, because I am a fan of Frog!Mario. I usually hate water stages, but I didn't mind this one too much. Then comes World 4, Giant Land. I cannot get enough of those gigantic monsters, it really makes everything super fun!! And finally World 5, Sky Land, it has one of the best themes. It's also the World of my favorite Koopaling, Roy. ^^;;

Great topic. SMB3 is a masterpiece, of course, and it's very hard to pick a favorite world.

I guess I'll go with the World 7, the pipe world. I love the labrynthine quality of it.

I think my favourite was Roy, only from remembering i liked him from reading the instruction booklet when i was younger. It is hard to think of one now, as they aren't really that different.

I hate the Ice World, which I think was world 5.

Now I liked world 3 because it was so big and had lots of sailing. I also like the Big world and the Sky world, along with the sub world before it. Mainly because those are the ones I remember as a kid.

I see there's a lot of hate for World 2. Besides those jumping fire-snake things and that ****y sun, I didn't think it was that bad. I usually love desert levels anyway. Though the one I hate most is World 7, definitely. when it's mazelike map structure and god-awful map music weren't getting me down, those piranha plant-infested death-traps randomly strewn about the world were. I wasn't too fond of world 5 either, but I never like ice worlds.

I loved the sun too, I also agree with most of the other levels being kind of bland too.

The sun's pretty cool until you've spent a few minutes running from him in a level. But, I usually cream him with a koopa shell at the start anyway, so it's all good.

I like the sun level to but i like the levels were the big fish tries to eat you more. Because if u make a single mistake ur dead

But World 2 is boring mainly because most of the levels have those stupid jumping blocks.

I agree, I love the Angry Sun! Easily one of the best minor villains! I love playing any stage with him in it and try to run away with him. I do that too with the Lakitus and try to outrun them. I was happy to see him again in Mario Kart DS. ^^;;

I like the bowser world because it's probably the most difficult. World 7 is pretty good too for that same reason. I remember world 3 was my least favorite because of all the water.

big world is always good. and i like pipes. but wheres the world 5 love? i saw maybe 2 people mention it. KURIBO'S SHOE!! hopping around in the boot is the most fun you can have without turning into a statue.

always hated world 3. just something about it.

LEMMY is my fav. ludwig close 2nd.

I think that is my favourite level in the whole game. Too bad there is only one like it (but maybe that might be part of its appeal!).
