| What other games does that open up to VC possibilities? |

| Awesome! I was just starting to lose hope for ol' Banjo. Excellent! Radretrogamer: I'm sure this opens up possibilities for Conker, Perfect Dark, and Battletoads. |

| This makes me even less optimistic than I was before. Look, we already know that Microsoft owns the Rare franchises from the SNES and N64... Since Nintendo owns the exclusive publishing rights to Rare's SNES and N64 games, this means that Nintendo and Microsoft have to come to a mutual agreement which, considering they are console competitors, means this: We will never see Rare's SNES and N64 games on a console ever again... Not on the Virtual Console and not even on Xbox Live Arcade. However, Donkey Kong 64 would be unaffected by this and it DOES give hope for one unexpected franchise game from Rare... If Activision wills it, we WILL see GoldenEye on the Virtual Console. I'm sorry if I'm a bit of a downer, but I've got my own Rare games that I would pay $10 for that I don't want to be excited for a game that may never come... (Oh, Jet Force Gemini and Perfect Dark, how I would spend $10 each on you two just to get you on a modern console) Last edited by samaine; 1st September 2007 at 07:56 PM. |

| Rare's statements sound like the usual stuff corporations say when they know something's not gonna happen. They'll just never say "no", since that would be bad for their fanbase. |

Face it, Rare not only sucks now, but they can't even give us the classics that made us like Rare.

| I would think that saying 'it's ultimately Nintendo's descision' would confirm that it is indeed possible for Banjo on VC. It doesn't even sound like 'no'. |

The question was, specifically... "7) Any chance of Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, or Donkey Kong 64 on the Virtual Console?" The Answer was... "7) Banjo team: "Maybe, but not up to us." That's what I thought." Until I see link to said website that says, "Yeah, Nintendo has full say-so on Rare's N64 games," I won't be optimistic... And even then, Rare admits that they own the characters in Diddy Kong Racing DS, save Diddy, Dixie, Tiny, Krunch, and MAYBE Tricky... Rare made DKR DS, and owns most of the characters, so where the heck is Banjo and Conker from the original? Well, maybe not Conker, but Banjo didn't reappear despite TipTup who is a character in the B-K games appearing. Something tells me either Nintendo or Microsoft said no to Banjo being in it, and I'm guessing it was the Big N. Nintendo isn't going to advertise a console competitor's games.

| Oh how great it is when everything is vague, and the title is a little weird. They confirmed a possibility? |

| That would be great for goldeneye and battletoads and I would be happy for those who want to play Banjo Kazooie again but I'm probably the only one here that never really liked that game, I found it extremely difficult and the swimming controls were terrible. I would never consider Banjo Kazooie a "gem". But that's just one person's opinion.

| Is it completely impossible to think that the same game could show up on both the VC and Live Arcade? there are new games released on multiple consoles why not old? Also, bango kazooie isn't a big deal for me. im more interested in Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, and the battletoads games. Donkey Kong 64 was trash. |

| As for VC, it's ultimately Nintendo's decision what gets released(Nintendo want GoldenEye). Beyond the DKC games we don't have anything in the pipeline(and its not inc, blame Activision for the license?) at the moment, but that doesn't mean it won't happen in future(basically a no). OMG CORPERATE ANSER#!1(yes!) Why happy when they say nada? |

| in Shinobi World | My guess is that Microsoft are willing to let the games go to VC, for a certain price, and that Nintendo are pondering that price. I think that's what they mean by "Nintendo's decision". |

Edit: Fine it DOES say that it is Nintendo's decision, but I'm still going to remain skeptical, until I see Rare's games appear again. Last edited by samaine; 7th September 2007 at 12:58 AM. Reason: Foot in Mouth
