| Lemmy Koopa | Really? Most stores I go to don't even sell PS2 games any more, you can't even rent them from Blockbuster.

| Amazing isnt it? A whole decade and the PS2's still somewhat alive. Guess the PS3 could very well be supported for 10 year or more so... |

| Do you like my helmet? | PC on top, which is no surprise. DS and PSP getting huge support, which is also no surprise, given how strong handhelds have been in this generation. PS3 beating the other consoles by a large margin, which isn't too much of a surprise given all the analysts calling 2010-11 the year of the PS3 (with lots of new 1st/3rd party games on the horizon). I guess the main surprises are of the disappointing/underwhelming variety. First, PS2 getting a new game developed and shown at the show is kind of hilarious, but it's undoubtedly a port of some new game on other platforms (like the usual Wii/DS/PS2 combo, maybe that Batman beat'em up?). Second, Wii sitting dead last except for a 10+ year old last-gen console, with 14 fewer games than its closest competitor, half the games that are being shown on the ****ing iPad for ****'s sake, and an increase of 0 games over last year? Geez... it's not just the VC that's dead. |

Edit: also keep in mind that 360 does not enjoy huge popularity in japan. Last edited by link64; 3rd September 2010 at 12:06 AM.

It's ether A: people more concerned on costs or B: they not aware of the 360's awful failure rates (50-60%). One thing I should check is which is cheaper gettin a Elite 250GB model or an Arcade 8GB model & a HDD upgrade of at least 250Gb or more & see which is cheaper thatas assuming the 360's slims HDD is as upgradable as the PS3

Xenoblade came out "June 10 2010" according to Wiki, do you really believe nothing else had been released since then? You're becoming as bad as Kawaii for posting ridiculous claims with no actual supporting evidence. Come on Refa you're better than that! Here is the first 5 games I found for the last 5 months: Game - Japanese Release date Super Mario Galaxy 2 May 27th 2010 Xenoblade - June 10th 2010 Wii party - July 8th 2010 Tetris Party Premium - August 5th 2010 Metroid Other M - September 2nd 2010 Last edited by Ouenben; 7th September 2010 at 07:07 PM.

morning radio » Blog Archive » WARNING! A Huge Podcast :: Stage 007 1:35:30 And a lot of these third party games have horrible sales in Japan, further damning the Wii in Japan. Hell, even the first party games have horrible sales from what I hear, I think Super Mario Galaxy 2 sold only 20K in its first week (which is where most of the sales in Japan come from). So my point being that the Wii is pretty much dead only in Japan (Wii games sell much better here and there are more prominent third party titles like Epic Mickey) still holds true.

| Para-goomba | Crap 3rd Party on a Nintendo console? No way! I don't doubt there's been little on the release schedule for the wii lately, summer is usually a pretty dry time for most consoles. I wouldn't call the Wii dead in Japan though it still has strong console sales and theres plenty of games still in the charts: Japan Weekly Chart, Week Ending 29th Aug 2010 - VGChartz Think its a couple weeks old but recent enough. Certainly not flowing with life but not dead either |

| Ah come on, the GameCube had decent third party support. Not to mention the fact that the first 2 Nintendo consoles did have great 3rd party support, so unlike popular belief, Nintendo did used to have great 3rd party support. The N64 is really the posterboy when people say Nintendo consoles have crap 3rd party support. |

Yeah they did but that was over a decade ago, and decent third party support is not something Nintendo home consoles have been known for in recent years.
