They'd probably sell more copies if they make sure the sequel isn't as generic or mediocre as the first one too.

I personally preferred the original's cover to the sequel's. This new one just looks soooooo generic and like it has nothing to do with the first game. I prefer the old one's look that was more akin to "so bad, it's good".

I'm pretty sure they didn't have a sense of irony, it was just incredibly bad.
