Post Lego Rock Band tracks revealed, transferable to Rock Band

All the block-rockin' beats in Lego Rock Band have been revealed, with Warner Bros. also confirming upcoming DLC and a song exporting feature. Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will have the option to download "all of the songs in the Rock Band Music Store that have been identified to be suitable for all ages." Only songs deemed appropriate will appear within the Lego Rock Band Store and the game should "highlight" any newly added "family-friendly" tracks.

The Lego Rock Band disc export will cost $9.99 (800) and transfer all tracks from the Lego disc for use on the regular Rock Band platform. It appears to work in the same way as the conversion of the original Rock Band disc. Check out the full set list for the console and DS versions of Lego Rock Band after the break.

Not a bad list considering it's a kid friendly game. These are the tracks I'm interested in adding to my Rock Band library.

Blur -- "Song 2"
Bon Jovi -- "You Give Love a Bad Name"
Bryan Adams -- "Summer of 69"
Carl Douglas -- "Kung Fu Fighting"
David Bowie -- "Let's Dance"
Elton John -- "Crocodile Rock"
Europe -- "The Final Countdown"
Foo Fighters -- "Breakout"
Good Charlotte -- "Girls & Boys"
The Hives -- "Tick Tick Boom!"
Iggy Pop -- "The Passenger"
Jackson 5 -- "I Want You Back"
Jimi Hendrix -- "Fire"
The Kooks -- "Naïve"
P!NK -- "So What"
The Police -- "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic"
Queen -- "We Are The Champions"
Queen -- "We Will Rock You"
Ray Parker Jr. -- "Ghostbusters"
Spin Doctors -- "Two Princes"
Spinal Tap -- "Short & Sweet"
Tom Petty -- "Free Fallin"
T-Rex -- "Ride a White Swan"
Vampire Weekend -- "A-Punk"
The Zutons -- "Valerie"

Pretty good list for $10 worth of DLC! I'll definitely rent this and export them.

I think the article mentioned a special code on the instruction booklet. If you rent, you'd probably need to be the first one to do so as I imagine the code is a one time deal.

Yeah, it comes out 3 Nov. or something like that, so I may shoot over then and see if I can get an early rent in. I can't imagine people busting down the doors to rent it in the morning on a weekday.

So is it not possible to get these Lego Rock Band songs into the Wii's Rock Band 2? Surely there's some way to do this.

You need to pay a $9.99 license fee and enter a one-time use key found in the game's instruction manual. You also need to have an actual physical copy of the disc.

So my plan is to go to Blockbuster on the release date, rent a copy of the game that no one's had a chance to use yet, and import the tunes. Since I haven't imported the Rock Band 1 tracks yet, I may be able to get that rental for free if I bring the Lego one back that same afternoon.

No sticker is impossible to remove. And 2ndly they wouldn't do this as it'd be bad for business.

I don't think Blockbuster would know or care about the export feature. As long as the game gets rented, they're happy.

Isn't this only for 360 and PS3?

A hair dryer removes all stickers.

Oh yeah, the Wii. Sorry about that. I've been in a PS3 frame of mind with regards to music games, so the fact that it's also on Wii didn't even register with me.

Hmm, it's possible I guess, but they'd need the disc too, and I doubt they'd get away with bringing them home the night before the game releases. We'll see.

Ugh, I hate music games so much. First I buy the horrible PS2 Rock Band and then I decide to get Wii GH3 and 2 guitars so I basically had to get RB2 for Wii even though I already had a 360 at that point. Now I'm missing out on the little things like saving money with 3-song, money-saving track packs and music transfers to Rock Band 2. I really don't think any teenagers would want to play Lego Rock Band regardless of how awesome the songs were. (maybe just for ****s & giggles)
