| Is the drum kit above (to the right) what Guitar Hero 5 will be shipping with when it hits this September? We're not 100% sure, but a trusted source at our sister site Engadget sent in the blurry shot, leading us to believe it could very well be. The new set bears a strong resemblance to that other full band music/rhythm game -- hey, there's even a lower bar support where the kick pedal could possibly hook on! Additionally, as Engadget rightly points out, the system controls have been moved in front of the pads. The back of the set allegedly features two kick pedal jacks and a "mysterious black mini jack" as well. We've asked for comment from Activision for confirmation of the set and have yet to hear back.

| Para-goomba | They are some pretty useful changes (particularly being able to attach the foot pedal to the kit!) but I wish they would leave releasing new instruments for this one, theres already Rock band 1, rock band 2, Gutiar hero world tour instrument sets going around as well as GH1-3 guitars and some other guitars by 3rd parties as well as the Ion drum kit. Plus there will be the beatles rock band instruments coming out at the same time which will almost definately look alot nicer and be a lot higher quality. I guess the good that comes out of this would be they may sell rockband and guitar hero world tour instrument sets off cheaper... |

| Sumo Brother | Im a bit sus on the image thru i might be wrong . The 3 pads on closer inspection looks a little to much like rockbands 1's pads in terms of shape but because its blurry its really hard to tell plus it mentions the 3 ports but no MIDI port for which im sure it should be on there just like the good old World Tour drums . |
