The fact that this is being released in 9 episodes is extraordinarily disappointing. All I can say is each episode better only cost like 200 points...

So there's 9 episodes total? Seems that they might've combined some Chapters together since this link shows 13 Episodes:

Yes, yes I will. It's just annoying for a RPG to be released episodically, especially in nine episodes. How much are we going to get to play with each episode? Even if each episode is only 500 points, that's $40 for the complete game—that's as much as a brand new DS game! This is a 16-bit mobile port! What the ****!?

A friend of mine who played the game (briefly) in Japan told me that while he enjoyed the game, there was no way he'd keep playing it, because with the cellphone format and his particular cell phone plan, it cost money just to save.

Like, holy ****.

I do agree with it being a bit silly they could easily merged the episodes together in one whole complation .

It'd be a lot easier memory-wise to release them this way if each episode is around 300 blocks. Personally, I'll just wait to see the content/price of each episode before I make decisions.

not everyone is as rich as they can afford each episode being like 1000-1500 points, so i wont get it if it costs too much
lets hope and see what will be the price
if it wont be a very large price (maybe 1000 each) i might buy in parts
not sure what happens, so lets wait

300 blocks sounds a bit high, even for a Wiiware game. Were talking Super Nintendo graphics cellphone port. And it seams like it's really split apart, so I doubt they'd be too long either. I'd say 200 blocks tops.

@ Kurachi:

"if it wont be a very large price (maybe 1000 each) i might buy in parts"

You mean 100?

lol, i dunno what i was thinking... or was tired
100 each sounds good, but i think they will make it expensive
next time i need to give a better example, sry for that, lol
i could afford 1000, but i think i need the money too much
as i said, we'll see... just hope i can afford it

The original cell version was 13 episodes and this one is 9. My guess is the WiiWare version might come with the first 4 episodes of the original for 1000 or so, and then the other 8 episodes will be a couple hundred each.

I've done at least one max run in nearly every FF so far, I don't see why I wouldn't do it in this game.

... ::sigh::

I guess some fans are a bit too much dedicated to there games .
I find it boring when i just had to level up so i can just past thru to the next stage .
Like Final Fantasy IV GBA i approximate that i spent 6 or 7 hours levelling up & a fair chunk of that is dedicated to levelling up so i can whoop Zeromus butt checks .
I also admit during that time i occasionally test out my party on Zeromus which also helped me figuring out his weakness .

End the end i managed to serve up some mashed Zeromus even thru the battel itself wasn't perfect mostly because i stuffed up at one point which caused massive damage to my party & it was difficult to recover from .

The final point where the final hit made & the music stopped made me think the game stuffed up at first but after a few moments i realised what happen & thats when the joy came out .
It was a tough Boss battle that lasted half an hour .

It's not silly, it's business sense. Square knows that lots of FF fans (not fanboys, I'm not trying to insult anyone....at the moment ) are the main market for this "product", and many will pay for 9 episodic releases, even if they know they're being ripped majorly.
