EA reveal that Dead Space Wii will infact be a prequel to the famed "Dead Space" and in fact be an "on-rails" shooter. Read more about 'Dead Space Extraction' Source: NintendoLife

Blog Entries: 9 | Huh. That trailer looked pretty good, actually. I still want to know where NintendoLife came up with the "on-rails" part, since there seems to have been no mention of it in EA's news-post.

| I wish it wasn't an on rails shooter. Well, at least it looks good visually.

| The trailer looked awesome. I don't mind it being an on rail shooter. I'm thinking the next wii game I get is going to be a rail shooter. |

| I'm not sure why they're going with a rail-shooter approach, I guess it's easier to develop or something. I don't like the stance EA has taken with their Wii games of late. To me it feels like they think everything for the Wii audience has to be dumbed down. Dead Space isn't such a complex game that the Wii couldn't run a less graphic intensive version of it, so why turn a creepy, atmospheric game into a rail shooter? |

| I kind of wish I could just have a Wii version that looked like the original Xbox alpha build of Dead Space. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAHyOGtzxYg Looks pretty great for the hardware it's running on.

| im actually a little disappointed over the decision to make the game an on-rails fps. the game still looks good, and ill probably still pick it up, but i was hoping for a more ambitious attempt from EA. game play like Dead Space (PS3-360), with RE4 Wii edition controls would have gotten me very excited for the game. but now ill adopt the wait and see approach. the same team that made the first game is making this one, so thats one positive. |
