Default Average release date of the N64 Games.

Are the N64 games for the VC released every 3/4 weeks ? Please post your estimate amount of weeks so I can buy Wii Points wisely.[/i]

4-5 weeks gap roughly between the 4 N64 games which have been released so far.

I think we'll see F-Zero X next (hopefully) - maybe sometime in May!

At least in america since europe just got Star Fox 64.
I think that june is earliest for an N64 game in europe, I hope that I'm wrong though

Yeah, and we got Star Fox 64 before Europe. But in Ocarina and Mario Kart's cases they came out in the other country not long after it came it the other first. But I believe Europe had to wait two weeks to get Star Fox. Since F-Zero-X and Paper Mario are coming out, it will be interesting to see how they will be released in both countries.

Why are they releasing the N64 games so slowly? It's looking more along the lines of 1 every 2 months now, rather than 1 a month...

Maybe because of the size of the games. I'm not sure.

I'd wager it's partly because the library of games to choose from that are of a high enough quality and without licensing issues is actually quite small. Releasing them more quickly would mean either populating the VC with poorer games in its infancy or risking losing steam towards the end of the generation.

I don't really care if it slows down at the end of the generation. I want all the best games now!

Same here! They can release the crappy games later.

They do seem to touch up the N64 games a fair bit, and given that it's the most advanced console, it's probably the trickiest to emulate. Hence, it takes longer to sort out an N64 rom (test it, iron out bugs etc.)

But they should have known that from the start though

They wouldn't just say 1 a month, then realise that they can't stick to it...

How awesome would it be if we got F Zero X and Paper Mario in the same day?

Why not? We're overdue. And we all know Ninty likes to surprise us sometimes.

There IS a small possibility Europe or NA gets Paper Mario before F-Zero X. JP pictures for F-Zero X are now on the server, and the codes for N64 games now look like this:

000100014E4141 = Super Mario 64
000100014E4142 = Mario Kart 64
000100014E4143 = The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
000100014E4144 = Lylat Wars
000100014E4146 = F-Zero X

Notice something peculiar? Yes, there's a game missing before F-Zero X. Paper Mario?

At your service.

Neat. How the hell do you get into the server anyway?

I wonder that too...
Surely Nintendo would do something to stop people from doing it?

I think they tried at one point, not sure. This guy on the IGN Wii Boards hacks into it and give VC predictions, and I think I recall him mentioning Nintendo doing something about it.

He can still get in, though.

It's fairly easy to look around the server - each Wii Shop picture has their own URL on the internet. As such, if you know one, you can just keep editing it slighlty to try and find more.
