Blog Entries: 9 | Since the game doesn't give me any percentage or anything, I was curious how many stars can be found in the game. Even though I still have a bit to go, I'm going to try to get 100%, eventually. I know that there are 115 for the fifteen stages (7 each), 3 for the cap courses, and 3 for the boss stages, making for a total of at least 128... but I don't know exactly how many more there are for stars given and other hidden courses. So, all I really would like to know is the grand total of stars that can be found - I haven't been able to find an answer for that one on my net search. What I do not want is hints; beating the game by myself is much more fun than peeking at a lame walkthrough.

| Rabid VC Fanboy | 120, though you get another one for beating the game. It doesn't count towards your total though. 6 stars in all 15 stages = 90 1 coin star in all 15 stages = 15 15 Castle Secret Stars = 15 90 + 15 + 15 = 120. Castle Secret Stars are (Spoilers of course): 1. Princess's Secret Slide (Finish) 2. Princess's Secret Slide (Under 21 Seconds) 3. Tower of the Wing Cap Red Coins 4. Vanish Cap Under the Moat Red Coins 5. Cavern of the Metal Cap Red Coins 6. The Secret Aquarium 7. Toad at Hazy Maze Cave entrance 8. Toad outside mirror room 9. Toad near Tick Tock Clock entrance 10. MIPS the Rabbit 11. MIPS the Rabbit 12. Wing Mario Over the Rainbow 13. Bowser in the Fire Sea Red Coins 14. Bowser in the Dark World Red Coins 15. Bowser in the Sky Red Coins Super Mario 64 DS has 150 stars. 7 stars in all 15 stages = 105 1 coin star in all 15 stages = 15 20 Castle Secret Stars = 30 105 + 15 + 30 = 150. SM64DS keeps all Castle Secret Stars except 10 and 11 (See previous list), the new ones are (Spoilers again): 1. Sunshine Isles Red Coins 2. The Secret of Battle Fort Red Coins 3. Fountain Courtyard Red Coins 4. Behind the mirror 5. Goomboss Battle Red Coins 6. Goomboss Battle Switch Star 7. Big Boo Battle Red Coins 8. Big Boo Battle Secret Star 9. Chieftain Chilly Challenge Red Coins 10. Chieftain Chilly Challenge Secret Star 11. Vanish Cap Under the Moat Switch Star 12. Cavern of the Metal Cap Secret Star 13. Wing Mario Over the Rainbow Secret Star 14. Bowser in the Dark World Switch Star 15. Bowser in the Fire Sea Switch Star 16. Bowser in the Sky Switch Star 17. Behind the White Door |
