Default New ideas for Channels

Please post here what you would like to see for channels in the future.
For me personally:

Gameboy Classic Channel.
Gameboy Color Channel.
Gameboy Advance Channel

Yeah I know the possibilities are slim but there is always hope where there is money to be made.

Dreamcast Channel.

Why not? The only problem I could see is the size of the games.

Maybe a Game Gear Channel.

Was there any good games that came out on the Game Gear?

What do you guys think?

Well, for Dreamcast games there are also SD-Cards, when you can make it possible to play games from the card and not just from the Wii-memory

For GBA there are still some games coming, so I doubt this will come out, the other possibilites are quiet understandable and possible

Well, I'm for example for a WonderSwan or Master System channel, I hope the NeoGeo comes out soon

..err

Did you checked the forum before posting this topic?

Discussion about dreamcast is quite clear.
Others you propose don't look like channels the way they are: actually every vc-game is a channel by itself.

And about gameboy, I think they just won't do it, it's the most successful console ever.
I'd love to be wrong, of course.

There's no need for the Classic to be a separate Virtual Console. The Color will play all the black&white games (sometimes with extra colours). A Gameboy channel would be quite nice, though.

As this is my first post here could you cut me a little slack? Just a little?

I have the worst insomnia and I'm not thinking straight right now.

But pretty much everything you said is correct.

So to correct myself:

What other systems would you like to see available on the virtual console?

Thats probably already posted on the forum as well.

Lets try this one cause I was thinking about it while I was writing the original post.

I personally don't like the way the virtual channels are set up. There just isn't a good way to organize the games. What I think Nintendo should do is have it to where you can create your own channels with their own sub channels.

For example NES channel that once you click on it takes you to all of the NES games.

And so on.

Or has this been posted too and I should just give up and go to bed?

Gameboy Channel, Master System Channel, C64 Channel, Amiga Channel. I'd be happy with that lot.

A demo channel would be nice, so we could try before we buy, and they could also use it to promote upcoming games, like the old covertapes/disks with magazines.

And I'd love to see the much-rumoured Indie Channel, with games created by coders and studios who aren't big enough to go through the traditional publishing route.

Oh, and the Game Gear had some fantastic games, but most of them were available on Master System too, so let's have that as a Channel, so we don't have to scale up handheld graphics.

I agree about being able to play demos. There are a couple of games I wouldn't have gotten if I could have downloaded them first. Didn't Nintendo mention this briefly at last years E3 or is my lack of sleep making me delusional?

The idea of a directory structure for Channels is good.
I think they didn't implemented it, because there just 4 pages for channels. You're not wasting too much time "searching" a game on your system.

I vote for:
Demo Channel
DS Channel (stuff to be transferred to DS: demos, firmware updates, etc.)
Homebrew Channel (but I think Nintendo should strongly have control over this, mainly for security)

Spot on, there.
I'd also expect an "enhanced" VC type channel, where they release old games that have had online content such as leaderboards and online multiplayer added, same as Live Arcade.

As for Dreamcast.......hahahaha!
Um, no that's not going to happen.
