Default N64DD: will we see it?

Since the VC is going to bring titles to places where they were not originally released, will we see some of the N64DD games. THe Wii's hardware would be more than capable of handling it.

Anything is possible but Nintendo haven't exactly been flooding the VC with N64 games yet. My guess is we will see N64DD stuff when all other options are exhausted which will be a long, long way off

Games Released

Proposed games

The Nintendo 64DD had several games announced for it that ended up either cancelled or being released on cartridge format only, the following is a list of those games:Hmm, not really a not on it. However, theres potental if they decide to finish some of those canceled games (Especially THE TRUE Ura Zelda)

It's fair to say that the only games that might be worth getting from the 'extensive' 64DD library are F-Zero's expansion, Sim City and Mother 3 (which was reportedly completely finished at the time of cancellation). As such, I'm going to have to throw my hat in the ring for 'No' as an answer to the original question.

I reckon Nintendo would never add the DD as a separate console even if it were released; more likely, the DD games would be simply classified as N64 games. Being able to write new game data has less of an exotic ring to it in these days of solid-state memory, though the size of the original disks might play a part in the decision.

I can see them releasing Master Quest but I don't know if they'll want to since Ocarina is on the VC already. I don't know much about the other games.

Well, the original Master Quest, A.K.A Ura Zelda, was going to contain extra stuff for OOT such as dungeons and Items, so it would be awesome if they brought that out. However, I very much doubt it.

Master Quest ain't that cool though, harder dungeons with a new look and unlogical problems. For example you need to shoot a cow that's stuck in the wall to open the door in the first room in Jabu-Jabu's stomach...logical?
Mr. Obvious says: No.

Same game...
Just named Master Quest on the promotional disk since it probably sounded a lot better than Ura, which is japanese.
