| Banzai Bill | Dang I meant RD is harder on easy mode, I haven't even played PoR so I have no clue how I got them confused, I hear even on hard PoR isn't too tough though. |

| Do you like my helmet? | EB Games. Maybe only in Canada. I doubt it though, since Canada never gets good stuff like that. So check Gamestop if you're in the states. I thought for sure that Ike was going to be my #1 MVP during my first play-through of Radiant Dawn, but there was one "defend/survive!" type stage where Nephie accidentally got stranded outside the castle with no one to help her, and she single-handedly mowed down like 40% of the enemy forces as they tried to take her out. It was hilarious and glorious. |

| Lemmy Koopa | Odd how your guy's top players, were some of my worst Edward: I wanted him to be sooo good, but he ended up being a total fail, in the Part 3 chapters he was a fail and even worse in part 4. Nolan: Was good in the beginning, was even worse than Edward in Part 3 and 4. I couldn't even get them to attack anyone because they were so weak. Aran: Utter fail, worse than the above. Nephenee: Good, not great. There were times where she could really hold her own, but like the others, she really started sucking in the later chapters. My best are: Tirbarn Naesala Boyd Ike Rolf On my next play through I'll be giving the littler characters a bigger shot, and the bigger characters less.

| Lemmy Koopa | So I actually was able to beat the part I was stuck on a few days ago. Disappointing actually. SPOILERS!!! So after many tactical battles, I made it so that the bottom half of the screen had no Dragons left (Other than my own,) and the top had maybe 15. I had my army advance a few steps more, and decided I'd take a risk. I already knew the Dragon King Wouldn't attack anyone 3 spaces or farther from him, so going up to the steps where it leads to where he was, was a safe Idea. The stair are 3 spaces wide, so I decided to stuff some trong guys there to block any Dragons from getting out, and to dramatically lower their defences. so I put it so that the two Dragons were surrounding Ike, giving him their support, while Tirbarn closed up the remaining space of the stair, and Boyd stayed close, but out of harms range, to support Ike. Meanwhile, I arrange everyone else so that they blocked (Or surrounded) the other entrances where Dragons could walk. Thus, eleminating dragons that came close. That didn't help too much since Dragons kept reappearing close to the king, but they didn't matter too much. For a few turns I held my position fighting, having a few people kill any upcoming Dragons from behind, and at the same time lowering the Dragon King's Defences. But I started to realize the Dragons the were reapearing were getting stronger and stronger. Soon I would have to get more and more people to help take out just the few Dragons. It looked like all I could do was go in for the kill. To do this though, I would really have to make it a team effort if i wanted to beat the boss in one turn, preventing him from killing anyone in the next turn. So I studied how everyone would move, and found out I had juussst enough guys to kill the King in one turn. So I did. I used Tirbarn and Naesala first, once they were done attack they would fly away to make more space fro other fighters. Finally the King only had 11 HP left, and I brought in Sanaki. I said it would do 14 damage, if it hit, so I tried it. Of course my plan failed. Although it did hit the King, I forgot that any weapon not blessed by Yune, could not harm the Dragon King. So he ended up killing Sanaki, which I would have minded, but the next turn was too savage. The remaining dragons turned to my weakened allies and torn them apart. They killed Naesala, Rolf, Rhyis, and almost got Boyd, but he's too crazy. They all came at him when he only had a little bit of health left, and Boyd kicked all of their asses. It was magical, but too tragic to go on. The next turn I did manage to beat him, but 4 guys went down in the process. END SPOILERS So I continued with the story and watched what happens next, but I ended up turning off the game without saving. I did that on perpose of course, because i wasn't willing to let those guys die. I've brought them too far to see them die like that, even if it was hounerible. Of course this means, the level still has the best of me, and I still have to find a way to succsessfully beat it.

Anywho, I'm satisfied. I managed to beat the previous part I was stuck on, without any one in my army dieing. Warning: Spoiler Below. So after several days of not touching the game, I decided to give it another shot. And it was pretty funny how easy it was. I decided to start the level and go against my usual tactic. Instead of sending my strong guys further up to block the enemies path, thus guarding the weaker guys, I brought everyone back, to team up on all of the Dragons on the side so they could be disposed of quickly, and sent my two Dragons up, to slightly damage and block the path of the enemy dragons. After about three turns I managed to move my dragons further up in the stage, while the rest of the party stayed back until turn 15. Turn 15 was so important, because that's when new dragons stop appearing. Not only that, but now most of the enemy dragons transformation guage has dropped to 10 or lower, which means they'll soon transform back to their human forms. Once that happened, I sent my party that stayed back to attack all of the un transformed dragons. Soon enough, there were only three Dragons left, the King, and his two companions. I then aranged all of my units so that they could attack the boss in one turn, and thus killing the boss and succeeding the level. And I did just that. I got soooo much experience in that battle, mostly because I resisted using my really strong units and used my weaker ones more so that I could level them up. It wasn't a big change, but it did help. I was also able to get Kurth to level up a good amount, and now he's actually a good fighting, having the skill formshift and a high level and all. When preparing for the next level, I got a new dragon on my team (Can't remember his name) and used a Satori sign on him, and Kurth. I leveled up a few more guys and got ready to fight. This next battle is really just halarious, it looks so easy it's hard. I mean it's completely bland, just a flat surface, no little holes of walls intercepting it, just flat walking ground. And then there's the enemies, which are pretty weak for Tower of Guidance enemies. But yes, it's still hard. These enemies have really good movement and speed. There's pretty much no where on the map where they can't get you. I didn't beat the level, but I'll probably try again soon.

I watched a trailer for it ealrier today, got me more excited. Although I'm afraid I wont be able to get it any time soon since I don't have a charger for my DS at the moment. My friend forgot it at his Dad's some time ago, and hasn't been able to go there since. To me it sounds like they lots it, so I might just end up buying another charger. I'm just a little worries about how the quality of the game will be. Being a NES game and all, it's most likely going to feel like such a downgrade. Not just graphically, but gameplay wise, so many tactical issues from Radint Dawn wont be in this one. Makes me a little sad, but I'll get it none the less. And by the way, Spoiler tags are awesome, since when could we use them?

| Lemmy Koopa | FINALLY I'm at the final battle. The battle before wasn't too hard. After about 11 turns I realised the enemies weren't going to stop appearing, and I was just wasting items. So I restarted and beat it within maybe 5 turns. The trick is too spend your first turn getting rid of the enemies not surrounding the boss, while staying on certain parts of the floor (Certain areas give you more defence, health etc.) After that you slowly start eliminating the enemies surround the boss, then take the boss out. Fun and easy. The final battle I'm not too sure about. Warning: Spoiler Below. Ashera, definetely the hardest boss in the game. To be honest, it didn't look too hard at first. I figured all I had to do was destroy the sheid surrounding her, then start attack her with my strongest guys, while my other guys take out the little enemies that keep reapearing. Of course it can't be that simple. Not only does the sheild make it so that everyone's hit percentages are around 40, it also makes it so that if you actually manage to hit it, you get hit back with half the damage. That's not a big problem concidering you can't hit it too hard, unless your using one of the Laguz Royals, which have high HP anyways. But the really annoying part, is that fact that it heals around forty HP each turn. No, cut that. The real annoying part, is the fact that you have to destroy 8 of them before you can even hurt Ashera (I would think) Annoyings not the word. It makes it sound as if it's not fun. You guys have heard me rant on for since August about how challenging some parts of the game can be, but I've never really been angry. All of these little "annoyances" in the game have just made me like the game even more. Not to mention if Ashera's sheild wasn't hard to beat, Ashera would be a mockery of a last boss. Well, I never really gave the final boss a shot yet. All I really did was fool around and she how strong she is, and in what ways will I be able to beat her. This game has been awesomne all the same, and I'm almost sad to almost be done. But no matter. It's taken me 76 hours to get me where I am now, and I'm already planing what I'll be doing differently in my next playthrough. Not only that, but I might soon be able to get my fingers on Path of Radiance. So although Radient Dawn is coming to an end, my joy for Fire Emblem has just begun. One more thing. I want to give a big thanks to Jogurt the Yogurt. Without his pages and pages of writing how much he loves this game, I would have never even touched this one, and would have never had a chance to play a tactical RPG.

| Lemmy Koopa | Done! Finished the game about an hour ago. If only the story could go on Warning: Spoiler Below. Holy Jeez, that was the longest battle I've ever had. 5 hours and 10 minutes. That's how long it took me to beat Ashera. I never died, just kept plying, didn't feel that long though. But she was a tricky one, always messing up my plans. By turn 12 I figured out her pattern. Long range hit everyone attack Very strong single unit attack Long range hit everyone attack (More powerfull) Very strong single unit attack Long range magic attack (either silences some units, or imobilize some units) Process starts all over. Basically, my best times for attack ashera were to attack on or one tunr after the Long range magic attack. This way I'll be able to mange a hit on her and retreat before she does the single unit attack (which is an instant kill on almost everybody) Of course many times she would delay me from attacking, by say making a large number of enemies appear while most of my guys had low HP, or imobilizing my guys right before I was about to attack. That was the worst. Because they would be stuck for five turns while I usually had only five guys left that could still move. And once everybody was out of that, she'd do it again. But I did it, and ended up losing Sothe, Naliah, Titania, and Ranulf on the way. That sucks too, because Ranulf died like 5 seconds before I killed Ashera, he almost made it through. It was a nice ending story though, it told about what happened to all of your characters (that were still living) did afterwards. Made me want to play it all over again just so that I could see what would have happened to the characters that ended up dieing. I was very pleased with the extra's though, lots of music, videos, and screenshots to look at. But of course I wish there was more. Sadly I can't see much happening in the Radient series, looks like it's finished. As everyone seamed to get along, Ike diappears, people become Kings and queens, I guess the next Fire Emblem series will have differenr characters. Unless...the next game might be what happens to Ike, where he went, what new places he found. Whatever, for now I'll just have to start playing the past instalments in the Fire Emblem series. All in all, I'm very pleased with the game. It brought me many awesome moments, and 81 hours of tactical fun.

| Do you like my helmet? | Shadow Dragon is pretty great. The only thing that's really a lot different for people who've played other games in the series is that the game literally throws party members at you left right an centre. This seems weird at first, but it's not a bad thing and there are a couple reasons for it. 1. Since it's the first game in the series, there's a good chance the creators didn't know players would obsessively reset the game until they get through a chapter without any deaths. They wanted to make sure players would always have enough characters even if a bunch of them died. 2. Apparently the side-missions require you to have fewer than a certain number of characters, which means you'll have to let people die in order to see bonus stuff. Since there are a bajillion characters, you can easily pick your faves and screw the rest. 3. The "reclass" system that lets you change a character's class is pretty cool, but I think they wanted to make sure you had enough of a stock of characters that you could play around with some classes without wearing thin on the other classes. All in all, it takes some getting used to, but it's not bad. Folks who have played the newer FE games should also know that since this is a remake of an early title, a lot of strategic innovations aren't in this one. No shove command, no rescue command. No lockpicks, etc. (thieves just have an innate ability to open locks). Haven't tested the online, so I don't have much to say about that. |

So far, so good. I had a hard time deciding what difficulty I'd chose, I knew I'd do one of the hard ones, so after a while I picked the easiest on on hard. It's not too challenging, but if it's anything like Radient Dawn, I should be crying near the end. I'm ahppy with the gameplay, the the fighting scenes are nice. The double screens is great, as now I don't have to manually check everyone's stats, it's all on the top screen. Controls wise I mixed between Touch controls, and buttons. I use the D pad to scroll, and the Stylus to select. So far there's less story than radient dawn, but that was given being a NES game and all. But I do like that usually during each battle there will be someone to join you. It makes sense to. Now that there's no battle saves, it's much easier to lose a guy, because usually if you reset the game you'll have to restart the entire match. Makes everything a bit more risky. The music in this game is great though, I'm always huming the music. But one thing that I really like, is the fact that you can change classes. You can turn a Swordmaster into a mage if you want. Of course some stats will go up or down depending on what your changing to. But it does help those characters that kind of suck in there current form. I haven't tried the online play yet, but I've looked at the online shop. It offers some good stuff, and is suposed to change each day. I made a squad though, so I'm ready for online. Each squad hold about 5 characters I think. You then name the squad, and set which items you want, and if you want anyone to change classes. There's also a offline practise mode where you play with the same rules as online, but against a computer. I decided against playing anyone, since my guys arn't too great just yet. Pretty happy with this game.

| Lemmy Koopa | Just about done my second playthrough of Radiant Dawn. I'm very happy with my progress. Knowing what will happen in the game, and how much each character would be around, really helped me decide who to train. Last time Edward sucked. When I first played I thought he was so cool, and wanted him to be awesome. This time he is. I'm on Chapter 4-4 now, and he's unbelievible, comparible to Ike. He's a True Blade, with 55 HP, and great strength, spead, skill and defence. Almost every enemy that trys to attack him only has a 20% chance of hitting, while Edward would double with a 26X2 or something. And with a Brave sword and vantage, he's absolutly unhittible. I wanted to get Sothe good this time as well, since he's force though the entire game. Last time when he classed change he was only level 8. This time I got him to his max stat before leveling up. Now that I've finished the last chapter with him before the Tower of Guidance, I've made him a level 11 whisperer. He ought to stand a chance now. I've also done the same with Michiah this time, making sure she's awesome. I spared Pelleaus this time around, so now I actually have a Dark Sage. He's alright, but needs work. Not Endgame material. Funny thing. I was playing Chapter 4-3, the one with the desert. I randomly put Michiah on a spot, and had Stefan recruited! I looked it up, and to recruit him to really just had to put Michiah on that one spot. Pretty odd actually. He's comparible to Edward, but not as cool. He comes with a SS ranked sword though, so it's worth having him just for that. I heart this game. But I should really get back to Shadow Dragon :P
