Default Metal Slug Series?

I noticed that not even one of the Metal Slug games is planned to come out. I know that Metal Slug: Anthology came out, but I hear it didn't even support the classic controller! I'm sure not everyone wants to buy the whole collection (myself included), maybe just one or two. So it's a disappointment for me as I probably won't buy the Anthology.

I wouldn't buy the anthology,
but instead I would download one game of the series
to see if it's worth to get the anthology.

I've played the anthology, and I thought it was great fun (especially in 2 player co-op) so I'd definitely get one of the games if they came out on the VC. Plus I'm yet to download a shooter from the VC, but nervously comtemplating getting Gunstar Heroes...

The problem is, though, that SNK has stated that they're not planning on releasing any of the Metal Slug games on the VC because of the existence of the aforementioned anthology.

Anthology isn't as bad as it seems. You can control it with either Wiimote sideways, Wiimote + nunchuk, or GC controller. That's pretty fair, I think.

Get Gunstar Heroes, now. All the cool kids are doing it.

Interesting... I think I'm just gonna get Gunstar Heroes, only 'cause Contra 3 is supposed to be a lot harder... though Gunstar Heroes does look very hectic (in a difficult way)

It's that easy:

If you want a very good and EASY two-player co-op action game get Gunstar Heroes.

If you want a very good and HARD two-player co-op action game get Super Probotector / Contra III.

Get both. They're both incredible. There are rumors that the team of developers who made Gunstar Heroes actually worked on Contra III before Treasure split from Konami.

Speaking of treasure, I hope we see Mischief Makers for the N64 VC. I loved that game, even though I was too young to really appreciate it at the time...

And I'd like to see the original N64 release of Bangai-O, as well, but I doubt.
